I can only concur with other reviews. Having read the tour brochure, we setout from Puerto Santiago, by public bus, via Santiago de Tiede, a very spectular windy road to Masca. We found the lack of info and signs quite confusing (all the way down, as it happened). We had *no idea* how tricky it would be. No path, just rocks, rubble, rivers and an amzing ravine ! We were not well enough equipped, particularly shoes and nobody checking on us. That said, it is a quite amazing trek down, with so many good photo opportunities, IF, you dare to stop and look. We are fairly fit 60+, made it down in around 3 hours. The feeling of achievemeent was marvellous and highly recommended. But...it is not a walk in the park, good footware and a rucksack are essential and would have helped us enormously.
