Wow! This was a beautiful, clean, amazingly well furnished villa! Great architecture and surrounding grounds! But the best part is Despina our most accommodating host! She responded so quickly to any questions, great knowledge of the area and made our visit definitely a 5 star stay!! You will love it!
Despina is a wonderful and welcoming host who reached out to us immediately once the booking was made. She met us on arrival at the villa to give us a tour, also leaving a prepared welcome hamper which is just what we needed after our travel there. The villa itself is stunning, beautifully decorated and immaculately clean, with the pool and garden area being particularly beautiful. We stayed for 10 days (family of 3) in Villa Orangina, and as we stayed in April, we opted to have pool heating (which is an extra charge). We enjoyed the privacy of the villa and the surrounding area which is very peaceful and quiet. There are speakers in the sitting area outside which was lovely when spending time outside or in the pool. In the mornings, we had oranges from the garden for juice (juicing machine in kitchen) and there are also kumquat trees where you can eat the fruit directly from the tree itself. We had a car which made it easy for us to visit Falasarna beach, Platanias and several visits to the old harbour in Chania. We had a wonderful time .......we'll definitely be coming back.
Fantastic stay at Villa Mandarina. The villa was luxuriously decorated , clean and faultless; the architecture is truly brilliant. The villa itself is equipped with everything you could possibly require, extremely spacious (we were 2 couples and would have ample room for 3 couples). The outside area is very large with outdoor sound system and gets the sun all day. Despina, the host, was fantastic from start to finish, answering all questions during the booking period and even organised a chef to make breakfast for us on the first morning.
I highly recommend this luxury villa for any group! The village is within walking distance however we used a driver recommended by Despina to visit the local winery and Chania.

- optional pool heating is great during the off-season ( october ) ( pre heated to 26/27° at arrival )
- optional private cook is a nice goodie especially for the first evening/morning - great value for the money
- high quality interior and nice architecture
- you do not notice the nearby 2 other villas - absolute privacy
- plenty of restaurants within a few minutes by car - you dont even have to drive to chania ( we liked the 'RusticGarden' or the 'Quizz' in platanias
- will definitely come back ...
We have just returned from a glorious week in villa Mandarina, this was our third visit and once again we fell in love with this place even more. It was lovely seeing Despina and her team, they really do know how to look after you in a very professional, discreet way. My highlight was an early morning yoga class by the pool, then on our last night Despina organised her chef to cook a tasty Cretan supper for us a beautiful way to end our week away.
