We visited San Pere de Pescador market and town on the day of our visit here - forget both of these and drive straight to Castello d'Empuries. This is a lovely walled town with bags of atmosphere, culture and good restaurants.
We chose Les Voltes situated in a small square in the centre of the town and were not disappointed. Many of the tapas are served as pinchos so be careful not to overdo the bread - we were a little 'carbed'-out.
All the dishes we chose were well prepared and well served. The Iberico ham and the patatas bravas were especially good.
The whole place is spotlessly clean and we will certainly visit again when we are in the area.
