The hotel is in a perfect location with an attractive terrace area and room balconies looking across the lakes with Mont Blanc and the Alps on the near horizon. It's a short drive from the attractive small town of Ste. Croix close to the French border.
Unfortunately apart from the modern terrace it has a sense of faded grandeur and is in need of substantial udgrading of the interior and its male waiting staff. Our room had noisy boiler/equipment next door working late into the night. Service was slow and the waiters seemed to think that 15 minutes was an acceptable time to deliver a wine list. 'Je suis desole' sarcasm seemed prevalent. Perhaps that esteemed Swiss hotel training is required here?
