Bit of a strange one this, we visited early evening and the waiter was stood in the doorway. But not in a welcoming way, I had to ask him if they were open! We sat down to average starters and then we decided to order Paella for 2. We were told it would take 45 mins to cook it. I saw that as a good sign....wrong! When it arrived it looked good but there was an overwhelming smell from it, and it was not a good one. My wife said it was the saffron, but I was not so sure. Asked to order another 1/2 carafe of wine to help cope with it, the waiter said "No", I think it was his little joke and we all laughed while he went off to get it...hmmm. The seafood on the top was overcooked, mussel shells that were big revealed mussels that must have packed up an run off as only sinews remained. The prawns were over cooked too, the nondescript seafood amongst the rice was exactly that. It was really poor. My wife was issued with a red rose on the way out, would rather have had a decent meal though.
