We chose this hotel for its quiet location and its certainly quiet. As we approached the hotel I was quite shocked at how little there was around us. However, we were greeted with a smile and "Richard" was friendly and made us feel welcome. My immediate thought was how very clean everywhere seemed to be, the reception was airy and bright. We were given our key and found our room easily. I must admit the corridors to the rooms do give the impression of a prison, however once we entered our room, ( we had payed for the sea view) we were very happy. It was clean and spacious and the view from the balcony was lovely. I was disappointed there was no tea and coffee making facilities and I was under the impression that a free mini bar was also part of the deal. I queried this but was told that the supermarket next door was open 9 till 9 and we could bring drinks in if we wanted anything. This wasn't quite the answer I was expecting, however with all inclusive there was plenty of drink available. The food was plentiful and was only repetitive if you made it that way. Every night there was a choice of at least 3 meats, vegetables, pastas, rice, and lots more. A choice of 2 soups where always available, I did feel the deserts could have been better, but fresh fruit and ice cream where always on hand. The dining room was bright and spacious with lovely views across the sea. I loved the fact that no matter what time you went to lay by the pool there was always plenty of available sun beds. The pool was warm but very salty. Pool towels were given out every 2 days and they are strict on this, regardless of the state of your towel. The waiters were always fine with us and Richard tries so very hard to get people together. He is never pushy though and if you don't want to join in that's fine. The sea is lovely and when the tide goes out there is a definite sand path that you can walk across avoiding the rocks. The town is a good 15min walk away and a good chance to meet the locals. We walked there several times and never felt intimidated at all. There's not much once you get there, a great ice-cream parlour and several nice places to eat.
Evening entertainment is not the best and the bar closes to all inclusive at 11. I did find this frustrating as the entertainment doesn't start until around 10pm.
It is a very windy place to be and at times I found the wind to be quite chilly, If you want to sit outside in the evening take something warm.
Its a very small hotel which means there's no getting away from the noise of the entertainment at night. However make sure you watch the Mr & Mrs show, its hilarious, good old Richard again!
It depends what your looking for in a holiday, we go with an open mind and make the most of what there is. Ive certainly visited worse. If its a quiet get away your wanting then this is it. Just be aware that there is no service whatsoever, so if you like to be waited on don't come here.
