We were recommended by our son and wife who visited last year. We have been coming to Lanzarote for some years but other than for wine ( which is excellent and strongly recommended by our local solicitor ) we had not eaten here.
We went for a late lunch ( after 2 pm ) and hence only 2 others in the restaurant with others basically finished.
We had a bottle of the stratus red crianza 2007 which was expensive but superb - decanted and then poured into the nicest red wine glasses we have seen.
Our Starters were the best Canarian stew our other son has had and the smoked salmon, scrambled egg and asparagus - amazing.
Main courses - wood smoked black suckling piglet ,blackened piglet glazed in own gravy and fried goat with parsley and garlic ( we love goat and this was one of the best ). All served with excellent vegetables and different potatoes ( not Canarian ).
Coffee to finish.
Very friendly attentive service.
Lunch is served behind the Stratus shop in a covered area - very pretty but no views other than the Stratus buildings and surrounding plants.
Before driving back I had a rest on the higher patio in a very comfortable easy chair with views across La Geria whilst my wife and son had a look round the excellent if pricey deli.
Overall the best meal of our stay in Lanzarote and we will definitely return on our next visit - we are sorry that we have only just found it.
Everything is very stylish and a bit expensive but worth every euro !!
