Owner description: The Jameos del Agua was the Centre of Art, Culture and Tourism to be created by César Manrique and reflects one of the cornerstones of his creative work: harmony between nature and artistic creation. The Jameos del Agua are located inside the volcanic tunnel created by the eruption of La Corona Volcano, one of the longest in the world, at 6 kilometres in length.

A visit to these caves is a delightful experience & not to be rushed. It would have been a most wonderful setting to have had a meal in the cave but time did not permit on our visit. This is a very well run centre of connecting caves & underground grottoes in the north of Lanzarote, at the foot of the volcano Monte de la Corona. You have to look hard to see the small, blind, white crabs which are unique to these caves but there are lots of them so your chances are good. Allow plenty of time for a visit as there is a lot to see.

As the rest of the island is so barren it was really refreshing to come into this beautiful oasis and the little albino crabs are just delightful. Staff were very friendly and this was a pleasure to visit.

This was our favourite of the Lanz attractions so far on our holiday & we've been to 4. When you go down the steps & see the lagoon you will be amazed on how clear the water is. I've never seen water so clear in all my life! We just sat there for 10 minutes & took it all in then we ambled around the lagoon to the other side looking at the albino crabs that inhabit the water. There's also a man made pool at the other side & a museum. There are also 3 cafés, the 1st you come across serves food, the 2nd before the man made lagoon serves coffee & cake TIP; go to this cafe & walk up the steps as there's an additional seating area that you don't realise is there - sit there & look under the cave & all it's tranquility. Bliss. The 3rd cafe is at the top of the man made lagoon that serves a cold beer. Spoilt for choice or what! Museum was ok, not our cup of tea tbh. Spent best part of 90 mins or so there & thouroughly enjoyed it

Best: worth every penny,
need walking shoes,
every angle is a postcard moment.
we went with a tour company and 1 hour was not enough. Very special place, very peaceful
we did not want to leave and had to rush through the museum which was a shame.
would go again

Seeing is believing with this beautiful natural work of art. Breathtaking! An open ended lava tube with lagoon at the bottom, stunning gardens and a very peaceful and tranquil place.
