This bistro is located on the edge of the central square in Limoux and serves the best food in the square by far. My girlfriend and I had luch here we ordered off the fixed menu and whislt it has a limited choice was really good, For starters we had the marinated courgette with basil dressing and ricotta cheese, very fresh, light and full of punch we also had a tandoori tuna which sound quite strange but consisted of tuna in a curried mayonnaise with a fresh green salad again very tasty. We both had the salmon which was served with a cauliflower puree - excellent we then had a dessert each and a litre of wine, The bill came to €40 excellent value and excellebt value a definite must if you are in limoux and a great location, what more could you ask for!

This restaurant on the main square has both indoor and outdoor tables. The food was excellent and the portions large. This is a sister restaurant to a more expensive restaurant, and they do a great job at a reasonable price. There were vegetarian choices for my wife, something she really appreciates. The main square and restaurant are busy, so I would recommend reservations.

We have eaten at this restaurant several times and were both happy and very disapponted. The quality varies enormously. The worst thing we had was the gazpacho which made me think of Basil Fawlty's remark on hearing the question if the orange juice was fresh: Oh, yes, the chef has just opened the tin. The best thing we had was the 'eponge de boeuf', a very tender steak with delicious chips. The position of the place, the general ambiance and the price of the food all add to a positive conclusion. My advice to the chef: skip the gazpacho or make one with fresh ingredients.
P.S. The 'open' red wine was not bad at all!

Great restaurant in the heart of Limoux. We were lucky enough to get a table outside on a Saturday night and enjoy the dancing and live music. The service was great and the food was very tasty. Recomend the house wine as well.

On the corner of the Place de la Republique in Limoux this is a must visit. The menu is simple but the cooking excellent. We went back for more, once we had discovered it. The steaks are particularly good, cooked to perfection. The menu is simple but makes imaginitive use of ingredients to create a good meal. The chocolate soup was to die for.

The service was attentive and friendly and all smiles. So, go and enjoy people watching at the corner of the square in Limoux, drink a Pichet of the rose if you are on a budget or enjoy some bubbly - Cremant in preference to Blanquette if your taste is developed on the basis of Champagne.

Their charging system of a basic 2 or 2 course 'Menu' with supplements that you can add if you want more expensive types of main course means that it is a good value meal and you know what you are spending.
