we have allways stayed at cavo bianco from 2004, alot of the time we stayed 2 or 3 times a year. this year we couldnt stay on site but spent every day there.well where to start, the guests most were rude and had no manners. we were sat in the entertainment and if you wasnt sat on your chair they would pinch it.the sun beds were always taken, the towels were just left on beds over night, even the ones on the beach, i had never seen anything like it before. the pool area which before was always clean was covered in sand, the steps into the pool were broken so they took them out and didnt replace them, there was just 1 set left and they were in the deap end. the english entertainment team were brill, they made our holiday the best. most of the hotel staff were friendly . it was just so heartbreaking that a once brilliant hotel now has no atmosphere its such a shame. this hotel should be open to all or put back the way it was, and be made available through a travel agent as not everyone has a pc.
Having stayed at the cavo bianco apts the previous year, also in june we decided to return and i must say what a fantastic place this is to holiday.3 steps down from the pool bar and you are on a very peaceful and spacious beach.St. peters as a whole is rather quiet, with a handful of bars and restraunts down a winding narrow road. All the bars are very laid back and don't rush to serve you,but don't be offended as this is a very relaxed resort. There is plenty of entertainment on site and the kids can be kept active most of the day.If you don't want the entertainment on offer which is outdoors under a large canopy, you can unwind in the spacious and air conditioned lounge area. The pool is a great size and clean and i have never been anywhere when you can actually choose which sun loungers you want to sit on at anytime of the day, such is the relaxed nature of the place. All the staff are extremely polite and there is a supermarket on site which caters for all your needs.I suppose it is more of a holiday village. If you are of the bustling nightlife preference, then a 5 minute taxi ride or 30 minute walk away is one of ,if not ,the busiest resort on the island, being Kavos. We have walked there in the day and personally it is not for me,but the great thing about cavo bianco is ,it is there if you do want it. We telephoned Thomson ,whom they were under and enquired about returning there next year 09,but were informed that they are no longer under their banner "so to speak"! I believe you book direct now,but anyway, if anyone reads this review and fancie's having a look, just visit Cavo bianco's website and have a look for yourselves, you won't be disappointed.
