“Just wonderful”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

We have just returned from a weeks stay here, and we are ready to go back again NOW! In fact I would have quite happily stayed there another few months! Our room had a garden view, which was very nice, but I did ask Cindy on reception,(who was soooo smiley and lovely),if it would be possible to have a sea view room. This was not a problem,we were given a lovely room with a sea view,a few minutes later. There were also fresh flowers and two white bath robes on our bed too.Nice touch ;)
The food was just great, lots of fresh salads, cooked meats, always a fish dish, you could always find something that you liked.
The staff at the resort though really made the holiday. They were fab. From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by Cindy at reception, who was so so nice, very helpful and bubbly. Then there was Makis and Slavka,(I hope I spelt that right),they were both just lovely at the pool bar. Makis is a fantastic bar man,he made unique cocktails that were just delicious. He always had a smile on his face, and was very welcoming, the same goes for Slavka, she was always so friendly, and always made sure you had a drink in your hand, and a smile on your face. The animation team who were French, but also spoke good english were wonderful at getting you involved in many different activities from volleyball to bingo, and they were so friendly.
This is a resort I would visit again for sure. Not just for the beautiful weather, lovely views, great food, lovely beach, great pool, but to see the great staff that are working there.Makis,Slavka and Cindy especially, you made our holiday extra special............BIG THANKYOU XX

We stayed the same week as the people who wrote the negative review and can only assume they have put their review under the wrong hotel.

Upon arrival our luggage was taken to our room just like magic, one minute it was there and then it was gone! After completing the registration form we made our way to our room, the room was very clean and bright but reminded me of a Travelodge.

To be honest I think we were very lucky with the position of our room, we had a side sea view which also looked over the relaxed pool and bar, as we were on the end and upstairs we were very fortunate to have the sun shining on our balcony all afternoon. The relaxed bar closes at 6.30pm, great if you like to relax in your room in the evenings because it was very quiet.

The bed was sooooo hard, we asked for some extra padding but, all they gave us was a thin bedspread on top of the mattress, we got a little used to the hardness but it did mean out sleep was disturbed. Not that it really mattered because we just chilled all day and did nothing more strenuous than lifting our drinks and filling our plates.

The sink was outside the shower room and personally I felt this wasn't a particularly hygienic idea, anyone using the loo had to open the door and leave the shower room before washing their hands, this means when you have showered you then touch the same door that was touched with the dirty hands. Perhaps it's just me being fussy.

Now for the good points:

The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble.

Everywhere was spotlessly clean.

The food was, on the whole, pretty good, there was no reason for anyone to go hungry, I had meat every day and out of 16 lunches and dinners I had tough meat twice, the rest of the time it was delicious. The salads were very fresh and varied.

There was supposed to be a dress code for dinner, no shorts, unfortunately many men ignored this and the staff did not ask them to get changed. Maybe it's just me but, a little effort on the part of the men would have been lovely, especially as most of the ladies had made such an effort to look good and some were really stunning.

We ate early at each meal and had no trouble getting a table, often sitting at the same table. After dinner we would go upstairs and have drinks on the terrace outside the bar, it was so relaxing, we are not big drinkers so we then retired to our room and watched a DVD. If you have not taken any DVD's with you, reception does have a small selection of DVD's you can borrow (free), all old ones but, unless you like watching the news over and over again even old movies are a godsend. There was also a small selection of books in the upstairs bar, I assume they have been left by previous guests but there was only one in english.

The hotel itself doesn't appear to provide any entertainment, all the entertainment is in French and provided by the French Tourist company Fram, for their own guests.

There is a small shop in the hotel which is very handy for water and surprisingly cheap, 80 cents for a large bottle.

We didn't go into Corfu Town but, anyone we spoke to that had taken the bus in said it was well worth it.

If we were to go back to Corfu we would have no hesitation in returning to Aquis Capo Di Corfu and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in a spotlessly clean hotel with good food and great staff.

Note to the hotel: There is a definate shortage of sunbed cushions and without them the sunbeds are very uncomfortable.

Room Tip: We had room 2507, great views and quieter than the rooms by the pool bar.

First off, I'm genuinely offended by the bad review below. Please ignore it. It's complete tosh.

Me, girlfriend and son (3) arrived on the same day (22nd April).

Arrival
We arrived around midday and were welcomed with smiles, an easy check in and the offer of having our bags taken to our accomodation.

Accomodation
Beautiful rooms, clean, modern plenty of space, nice balcony. My son loved his upstairs room. The shower did go hot n cold a couple of times during the week but no big deal. We was in block 9 which was the furthest from reception but closest to the car park and the kids play area. Regarding the bad review below, the only shed and loiterers I can think they are talking about is the maintenance guys office (got to work from somewhere and hardly a "shed" and the many gardeners constantly watering the greens and flowers! And they always smiled and said hello! No pleasing some people as there was no building work whatsoever going on.

Dining
I couldn't fault the food at all. For AI the choices was vast. Multiple hot options, salads, fresh breads, multiple deserts, fresh fruit, loads of Greek dishes. Unbelievable. Even at breakfast you had fry ups, pancakes, breaks, yogurts, fruits. I could go on and on. Greek night on a Monday was my favourite. The staff were great. Very attentative and strive to fulfil your every need.

Pool
2 main pool areas. Won with entertainment and music and kids pool and a relaxation pool area if you just want a quiet chill. With having the boy we stayed by the main pool area. The pool was clean, big and due to being so close to the beach, sun beds weren't hard to come by. The pool bar was efficient and the helpful staff normally came over and asked if you wanted another drink so sometimes you didn't even have to move!

Beach
The beach was clean with loads of sun beds to enjoy the lovely view. Canoes/boats/jet skis to hire also right next to you.

Entertainment
Mainly in French but English spoken to basically. These guys were great, they really work their socks off and were always smiling and trying their upmost to make guests smile. Activities throughout the day but if you didn't want to play/take part there was no hassle.

Misc
The local area wasn't too busy this time of year but the bar next door showed all the football.
The free wifi was a nice extra but the signal was temperamental in the accomodation.
Quad bike hire available opposite resort (very cheap as well).

Overall
The perfect family holiday. I'd return at a heartbeat. I've probably forgot loads as I'm writing this in a rush but all I can say is don't doubt the brilliant reviews. This place is an absolute gem and I'm so pleased I picked it. Only been home a few hours and already missing everything about the place. Go go go!

Firstly let me say that the negative review below....must have been written about a different hotel. The weather was bad?????????lol It was in the 70's plus every day.I was there the same time as the moaners and the pool is immaculately clean, yeah the food could be better but it is well presented and fresh. There was no wilted salad. As for broken tv's,there are maintenance staff available at all times to fix problems so not sure why the couple are complaining. Some people are never happy.
The hotel and complex is first class BUT the real jewel here are the staff.Quite a weird thing to say but the staff really do make it a memorable holiday.
When you go into the bright, clean restaurant look out for the Peter Kay lookalike waiter.Giogios.
This lad is a star and he really knows how to make you feel at home. 95% of restaurant staff work extremely hard, couple of the younger ones are not as good but maybe they have only just started working there.
Reception staff are friendly and extremely helpful and the lads at the pool bar are efficient, friendly and have excellent memories. The rooms are above standard and the setting is perfect.
Ignore the whiners and go and enjoy this wonderful hotel.

I was so close to giving this place 5 stars, but I'm going to be very honest & as such have to stick at 4.

So, we arrived on 21st April (for 1 week All Inclusive) for the first day of the season. First impressions of the place were brilliant. It is very fresh, clean & literally on the beach.Great views of mainland Greece. It IS a French resort, so the Entertainment team are all French. That said, they do get quite a number of English guests and to be honest the fact that they cater for the French primarily didn't make the slightest bit of difference to our holiday - in fact, the French we really reserved & in bed for 10.00pm leaving the bars free for us!

Rooms: Very modern, comfy pillows, beds slightly firm, but still ok. Cleaned daily. What you get varies a bit, a couple of our friends had seperate rooms, 1 got a bath robe & shower gels etc, 1 got a massive tv, we had neither. That said, it didn't spoil our stay.

Staff: The Corfu people are SO friendly, nothing is too much trouble. Hint: a small tip on the first few days goes a long way. Makkis at the pool bar is a legend, really friendly & attentive - a good guy. Also at the pool bar is Slavka (i'm sure i've spelled that wrong!) She is so lovely, always smiling and friendly & has a great sense of humour! In the upstairs bar, there's a lady with black hair behind the bar (sorry i didn't catch her name) she works her behind off as she is left on her own! She deserves recognition & a colleague!!

Food: Now firstlylet me say Andreas the waiter is absolutely fantastic, nothing is too much trouble & he always engages in conversation. The food itself is mainly where the final star is missing. On the whole it's quite good. There's plenty of choice & you will find something you can eat. Our only complaints are, sometimes the food wasn't hot enough, the desserts were a bit rubbish and mostly the same stuff. But our biggest issue is that there doesn't seem to be enough staff of an evening, often we had to wait to find a table to seat 4 people, plates weren't cleared away quick enough & we had to wait ages for a drink. We are hoping that this is because it's so early in the season, so don't let it put you off from going.

The resort: it's like a little village, all the buildings are painted tastefully and have little gardens. There are loads of sun lounges on the beach & by the pool. Don't bother taking a beach towel as you hire them for free from the pool bar and can change them daily. There's plenty of bars on site, which serve until 11pm. After that if you want to carry on drinking there's a couple of bars to left of the main gates that stay open late or if you're brave you could venture out to Kavos! (about a 30 min walk) It doesn't open at all until Mid May, we went for a nosey through the day & it's like a ghost town while the bar owners redecorate for the start of the 'mental season'.

All in all, we would definitely go back to Capo di Corfu maybe a few weeks later than we did as it's quite cold of an evening (definitely need a jacket in April/early May) or towards the end of the season. We wanted to go on a reasonably priced holiday, get some sun & chill for a week, which is exactly what happened.

If you choose to look at (probably) the only negative review of this resort, completely ignore it. My boyfriend and I arrived at the Capo Di Corfu also on the 22nd April on a very reasonable all inclusive package.
We were met by professional and helpful staff at reception who gave us lots of useful info. We had lunch straight after, got to our room and was pleasantly surprised to see one of the porters had buggied our luggage over to our apartment, which was very clean and tidy: everything you'd expect (and a bit more) for the cheap price we paid.
We did however find that our television did not work, but we reported this to reception and they had the problem resolved in less than an hour!
The all inclusive package is definitely the way to go! I have probably seen a wider selection of food but it was ample for both of us. Drinks upto 11pm are all included and throughout the day you can help yourself to ice cream (five different flavours!!).
The views are absolutely stunning sitting out by the pool, especially as you can clearly see the Terrain of the Greek mainland.
