We have spent 3 relaxing days in this very nice hotel with the most wonderful view I have ever seen in my life! The rooms are nicely decorated and very clean, with confortable beds and everything necessary. I very much appreciated the radio with Greek music :) Every room has a small terrace with a confortable couch and a table with two chairs, here you can enjoy mornings having breakfast or evenings having a drink, always with a breathtaking view in front of your eyes.

Very good service and friendly helpful people around, the owner himself has welcome us in the airport, transfer to and from the hotel is free of charge, very nice! The guys in the reception, Costas and Yorgos, were both very nice, open and friendly, they helped a lot with everything we needed, car booking, tips for good restaurants or the tour with the car. Same good words for Vaggelis, the bar tender, very nice and making a delicious mojito :)

We also have eaten twice lunch in the hotel at the pool, the food was very good. By the way, one tip for a very good restaurant with a special atmosphere at the beach, we have been there twice and we fell in love - Sea Side by Notos. You will not regret it, delicious food, nice lounge music and good view!

As a conclusion, Astarte Suites it's worthy all the good reviews, is a good place where you can enjoy the romantism, as they put very much price on privacy, the truth is that you don't meet too often the other guests. We would go happily again over there!

We were met at the airport and transferred very quickly - we went straight to our junior suite which was lovely - the views are stupendous from the edge of the caldera- and were also given champagne and melon as a welcome by the infinity pool. The owners (and their mum) are just lovely and can't do enough for their guests. Having a TripAdvisor voucher, we were also given a one night upgrade (always subject to availibility) to a Honeymoon junior suite and that was quite a bit bigger and gorgeous for us (who will be 42 years married on October!)
Food is available and very reasonable but I'd also suggest the Taverna Aelos on the road just above the Suites - from this you can see the sunset and the Lighthouse - you can't do that from the suites as you are facing towards Fira.
Do note that there are a lot of steps down and also around the small complex.

Room Tip: All have a hot tub either inside or our and all have views out across the Caldera

Astarte was a great find for us. My wife and I recently spent our honeymoon there. It is off the beaten trail and has great views of the entire caldera. The hotel hugs the side of a cliff, but you will not see a sign from the main road. Luckily the hotel offers free pickup from the airport and the owners and staff are always readily available to answer questions, make recommendations on things to do and see, or provide anything guests need. We had a very difficult time getting to Santorini with airline delays, and the owners stayed in constant contact with me throughout our delays and were very accommodating. The room service, pool and accommodations were superb.

Well worth the money, I have only the highest praise for this outstanding hotel.

The only 2 downside to our hotels was our Jr. Suite which had a hot tub in the room left a weird smell like chlorine in the room and it literally took my 125 stairs to get to my room. To hotel did have Amazing view from all parts. And believe it or not a short 5 minute walk down the road had better viewing are of the sunset then Oia. One last thing, the hotel (if you are renting a car) can NOT be seen for the road so it is a little difficult to find. Service was amazing at the hotel and you really feel like a special guest. They make you feel really welcome and are always available if you need them, extremely attentive to all your needs. The room service (dinner) is pretty tasty and affordable for room service.

Room Tip: Jr. Suite HAs a hottub in the room next to the bed which leave the room a little humid

We stayed in the hotel in the begging of May and we highly recommend it. The view from the hotel is amazing ,the food and service is very good and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. The hotel is run by a family and for that reason the hospitality there is overwhelm.
Special thanks to Mrs Vasilia ( Mrs Vasilia you Rock!!!!!) and George.

this hotel stands by it self. we were thinking to stay in oia but we changed to this. we arrived with our jet, while we were island hopping and the boys were on time standing with driver and 2 cars as asked. rooms are specious. nice overlooking santorini, thira and also oia. no hotel next to it. alone standing resort. the stairs to walk down to reception is a bit crazy. but its like everywhere in santorini. we had one junior suite and one honeymoon suite. great rooms and quiet new.
price was resonable. although i prefer you to book hot deals and pay straight away online. enjoynyour stay

This is perfect for couples, we spent our honeymoon here and we were very pleased with our choice. Fantastic views with the added bonus of the privacy of eating on your personal balcony. The food was excellent, both the breakfast and the choice of evening meals. Our room had a jacuzzi inside which was a nice touch and the bed was massive. The pool area was a little small but there are not lots of rooms so we always found a sun lounger, the water was cold but the view from the pool takes in the whole bay so if the freshness of the water doesnt take your breath away the vista will. The staff were very good, really helpful and happy to make any arrangements you need. There is a taverna at the top of the hotels steps so you have the option of eating out or in. It is isolated, there are steep steps to the entrance, nobody should moan about this as it is mentioned in so many reviews, if you want nightlife its not here, if you want a quiet location with the ability to take trips out then this will suit just fine.
