Excellent guide in both locations , small group of 8 in an air conditioned mini van,
.our guide took us to five wineries all very different , he had a full knowledge of all the wines and accompanying cheeses and bread, took us to the brewery of the local made craft beer - crazy donkey- (not on the itinery ) great day out , would highly recommend it
We are almost speechless. Yet every question we had (and we had plenty) was answered with depth and passion. She brought the entire island and its culture alive - past and present. Every step and word was intentional. She brought Akrotiri to life - adding texture with photos she brought up on her iPad throughout the tour. Cannot imagine a better guide. (We definitely benefited from someone’s cancellation- in other words be persistent- get on her schedule even at the last minute. We emailed her at 7 am and had a tour scheduled for 3 the same day),
All I can say is WOW!!
We booked a tour with Dimitra based on the advice of some of our friends that had also taken this tour, and we were not disappointed in any way.
First, it’s not a tour that’s canned, Dimitra will listen to your desires, and make suggestions based on that. And that there is a maximum of six people, it is truly a personal experience rather than just a tour.
It’s an education on Santorini from the minute you meet her and her husband and driver Thomas.
We spent the first half of our four hour tour at Akrotiri. As we watched all the other tours fly by us, Dimitra gave us in depth descriptions and explanations at every corner of the ruins, including pictures of what was removed from them, and all the symbolism. She took us 3,700 years back in time and made it so real for all of us in group.
The second half of our tour was in Pyrgos. Again Dimitra showed us the things you just wouldn’t notice walking through the village, and, the places for the most stunning pictures.
You can tell how much Dimitra loves her island, and her historical knowledge and that passion make this the one experience you do not want to miss!! When I come back I will definitely call her again.
So to Dimitra and Thomas, a huge F Harry’s Toes to you from Chris, Wendy, Susan, Debbie, Bobbie, and Donna!! (And we got the signed books!)
And if you want to know what F Harry’s Toes means, then you need to visit Santorini and meet Dimitra and Thomas.

I have been taking tours around the world for more years than I’d care to reveal. In no uncertain terms Dimitra was the best guide I ever had the pleasure to work with. I hired her for the to take my 11 and 13 year old daughters and me around Santorini. It was our last tour on on a 2 week holiday and we were a bit fatigued from many long days of sight seeing. Dimitra listened to our needs and desires for our day and was incredibly flexible and accommodating in making the day fun and interesting in just the way we wanted. She taught the children Greek, made Akrotiri come alive and brought us to compose in an amazing music studio. She is good humored, charismatic and creative and made our day magical and memorable. Dimitra has an absolute gift for what she does. Don’t miss the opportunity to hire her.
Dimitra is not just a fabulous tour guide - she is an amazing, caring person! She guided our group on a cruise excursion from the port to a wonderful winery to the magnificent city of Oia and then set up a truly memorable dinner at Pelekanos in Oia. Most importantly, she helped my older daughter who was feeling ill but so badly wanted to see this gorgeous and unique island! As the result of her efforts, we all had a memorable experience - including my older daughter! We feel so indebted to her for all she did…. and cannot recommend her more highly to experience Santorini. Bravo, Bravo Dimitra!!!!
Dimitria is by far the best tour guide I have ever had on a trip and I have taken dozens. As a native and a scholar, she knows the history, the culture, and the best kept secrets of her country. She also knows EVERYONE. Everywhere we went with her, someone would joyfully run up to her to say hello.iShe took us on a tour of Oía, to a museum (where you would have thought she was the curator herself) and then finally to the most beautiful vineyard for a wine tasting. Aside from her seemingly endless knowledge, she is so personable and enjoyable to be around. the day after our tour, we went to one of her recommended beaches and ran into her at the beach bar! She greeted me like an old friend I'd known forever and even got my family a comfortable cabana on the beach because of her connections with the bar. She is truly an asset to have if you ever visit Greece. She is helpful not only during your tour but before and after as well with recommendations and willingness to answer any question or inquiry over WhatsApp. Booking a tour with her is not just a luxury, but a true necessity!
