We spent 2 night in this hotel at the beginning of June and we loved it. We were there with our 2 and a half years old daughter and we asked the hotel to give us a safe room towards the upper part of the hotel, and they respected our wishes, thank you. More than that, we received an upgrade to a 2 bedroom villa, very beautiful and immaculate. The villa (no 3) is very big, on 2 levels, with beautiful sea views from every room. We loved watching the sunset from the balcony, one of the best experiences in life.
The views from the hotel are stunning and you have a feeling of being in Paradise, or where the Gods used to live, very peaceful and so clean and pure everywhere, also very high on the cliffs, so the views are really stunning, with the best sunset!
We used the big swimming pool of the hotel, as even if they said it was not heated, it felt warmer than the villa´s own private swimming pool, and our daughter loved it (there were also some inflatable peacocks which she loved).
The breakfast was lovely, and even if in the beginning we were a bit surprised about the fact that we had to select it one day in advance, it was actually a very good thing, as we received everything we ordered very quickly in the morning. We loved the food, very good.
We also had dinner once at the Cabo Rosso, very good quality food.
The hotel does not offer free water though (and water from the tap cannot be consumed), which is the only space for improvement.
The location of the hotel is very peaceful, however there is not a lot around, but if you are looking for a good restaurant, we also tried Remezzo (down on the beach, very close to the hotel and they offered to pick us up for free with their car), and the food there was very authentic and really good.
Very good hotel, recommended!

We stayed at Ambassador Aegean Luxury Hotel for 4 nights. Staff was really helpful and supportive. We were welcome with lovely drink. The reception staff gave us nice introduction about Santorini, where to go, what to see. They also recommended some good trips. We went to Greek wedding show(white door company) after their recommendation which was very good. My 4 years old enjoyed it very much. The breakfast was good. The view from the room was amazing. Particularly sun-set. I would love to go back again. My 4 years old is still missing her holidays from Santorini.

Tough to find words that haven't already been said, but it's a great place, and we had a really nice stay.

I guess nowhere on Santorini is THAT far from the airport, but our transfer was probably 20 mins. The road is right by the hotel, but as it's built into the cliffs, you don't really know the road is there until you get higher up. Even then, it's not an issue.

The staff were very welcoming. Check in somewhat straightforward.

I have seen some comments about walking around the hotel. Yes you do. But it is worth it. Some of the most spectacular views I have ever seen from a hotel. We did use the golf cart to take us up and down to our room on a few occasions, and walked most of the others. The drivers are so incredibly nice and willing and can't do enough for you.

Our room was well fitted, with an amazing view. We had a cave suite which was great. The air conditioning was so-so but nothing that needed us to worry about, as there is a natural shelter from the caves. Hot water also had a mind of its own, but again nothing that caused us problems - we didn't bother to report it, as frankly it worked more than it didn't, so no big deal. Our pool was cool, but slowly warmed up with the good weather whilst we were there. I finally got in. By now (we've been home a few days) I'm sure it's good. I should say, lots of other people were using pools, so don't be deterred just because I'm a bit of a weed when it comes to pool temperatures.

We enjoyed our breakfast both delivered to our room, and in the breakfast area. They like you to fill out the breakfast card the day before, which I sometimes find challenging (I don't always know what I want to eat the evening before), but they were super willing if we forgot, and it didn't cause any issues. The food is generally of good standard for breakfast, with friendly and willing staff.

Restaurant food is high quality, albeit it slightly on the expensive side - not prohibitive, but a little bit. We both enjoyed our meals each time we ate, and found the service friendly and charming. Saturday evening music was good, and right volume so we could still chat whilst he performed. It's worth the visit to the restaurant. We ate out other nights as well, but the hotel restaurant was very very high quality in comparison.

Beautiful sunset views from just about anywhere. We had a room lower down the cliffs, but I think there was a trade off between the walk down to our room, and the proximity to the waters edge. We loved it. Higher rooms you don't walk so far, and still have good views I assume, but we loved seeing the water from much closer, and hearing it sometimes.

Finally, housekeeping- very good. If you need something, just ask. Room servicing seemed quick and good. Never once went back to the room and had to wait for them.

Great experience. Our first trip to Santorini, and definitely enhanced by the quality of this hotel.

Room tip: We were in room 39. Some way down, but we loved it.

We returned from Santorini a couple of weeks ago, having spent a very relaxing week at the Ambassador. The service was first class, from the moment of arrival to the time of departure. The welcome by the reception and concierge staff was excellent, they took time to explain the amenities, the surroundings and offered to help with taxis, trips or excursions.
We were shown to our villa, a gloriously situated two-floor villa with stunning views of the sea. A private pool and jacuzzi and comfortable sun beds.
The bathrooms were unique and seemed hewn out of the rock face. Plenty of clean towels and a selection of toiletries. Fabulously thick dressing gowns and handy slippers.
The bed in the upper room faced the sea and further balconies were accessible from the room. The beds were extremely comfortable - deep mattresses on a base of concrete, sounds weird but seriously good.
Breakfast was super; it’s freshly prepared (thank goodness no buffet in sight!) and the staff were friendly and terribly efficient.
The dining was second to none. Chef George has some brilliant dishes on the menu, delicate but also full of flavour. I haven’t tasted anything as good for a long, long time. And the staff too, welcoming and professional. They offered suggestions and really were charming.
It must be noted that there are a lot of steps and slopes but for those less able to manage them there is a ‘golf-buggy’ service! Very novel!
Highly recommended - thank you Ambassador.
