Stopped here on an Ocean Waves Tour. Everything we ordered was good and the view was spectacular. Would definitely recommend and go back again. The place was packed in May and not very large, so get there early.

Typical restaurant owned by people that don't need customers. Don't recommend, and would not return there.

A couple of the staff at the archeological site had recommended the Dolphins to us. We got there around 4;00 and were the only customers. We chose the table right on the black sand with the sun at our backs.. Fantastic. We noticed that the prices were about 2 euro cheaper on many items than what we'd seen in the more touristy areas. We usually order horta, which is boiled greens that can be found in the wild on Crete, and the proprietor delivered us a huge plate of it. We also got a bruschetta-like dish with lots of tomatoes and olives, as well as fish for one, and that was also fresh, plus white wine. Add to that tsaziki, and you have a basic and honest Greek meal in a real fishing venue, with a great view and reasonable price, although I thought the fish dish was too high. From the bus stop across from the archeological exhibit, the road forks...take the one to the right up the hill about 300 meters, perhaps, and you'll see it on the left.
