Owner description: The cove right next to the Red beach, on the southern side of Santorini, is known as the White beach. It is very similar to the Red beach, with black pebbles on the shore, only that the surrounding cliffs are white. This beach is accessible only by boat or on foot from the Red beach.

This beach is accesible only by boat, it costs 5 euro for a tour between black - red - white beach. It is very pictursque beach, everything is white. This is a problem because the sun is reflected on the white rocks and you can get a sunburn easy. It is very bright. You definitely need a sunblock, hat and sunglasses. You also need swimming shoes because the beach is rocky. There are huge and sharp rocks. The water is very clean and deep, so you can easily enjoy swimming. There are no facilities, just a few umbrellas (mr Vangelis is the king of the beach, great guy). It is a small beach and not crowded (instead of the red beach in which you must jump over people to reach the sunbeds). With all the equipment needed, it's a great beach.

We only viewed this beach from the boat as the waves were quite rough and you have to get off into waist deep water. Beautiful clear waters here as well as at Black beach and Red beach.

We took the boat from red beach to reach this beach and stayed only 15-20 minutes since it is too hot to bare, the white rocks reflect the light and it becomes very bright and hot. You need swimming shoes as it is very rocky and hard to walk into the sea while your feet hurt.

The white beach is extremely secluded. The only way there is by boat. If you take the bus to Akrotiri, in the port there are small boats that charge 5 euro to take you back and forth between the port, red beach and the white beach. The red beach is the big attraction so most tourists stay there but the red beach is very crowded and somewhat dirty. The white beach is the exact opposite. The water is crystal clear. The beach itself is very small there are chairs but no facilities, food or drinks for sale so you have to bring everything with you. Visually the white beach is unreal.
