We were stayed in jepara for 3 days. Booked the hotel from booking.com due to the good reviews. And it is right the place is above indonesian standart in our opinian. We had pizza and pasta and it is very yummy, the spinach ravioli in cream sauce is heaven.
We tried other restaurant in town but gecho is still the best.

as frequent Jepara traveller and for the 1st time staying in the Gecho I had a pleasant surprise. Spotless clean room, comfi bathroom with amenities and good food.Wifi and cable TV working perfectly well. 2 small remarks: air conditioning, even on full speed, could't cool the room down, and bathroom smells somewhat from the drain. All by all a good pick and will definitely return the the Gecho.

Room tip: renovations going on. Try to get a room at the back.

Only stayed one night in The Gecho Inn. Arrived at 18:00 and left the other morning at 06:00 to take the boot to Karimunjawa. Service in the hotel was good and had a nice diner. Room was clean and nice location. There isn't much to see in Jepara.

one of the better hotels/inn around. Jepara is a small town so finding even a 3star accommodation is a challenge. Gecho tick most boxes. rooms are spacious with high ceiling. A/c wolrd well with a stand fan in case circulated air is needed. bathroom is clean. wifi is tip top. tv channels more than adequate. only 4 rooms at this place so privacy is assured. no pool available. downside are mozzies but there an aerosol in the room to sort em out. Perhaps mgmt. should widen the pavement/tile passageway to the rooms to cover even the sandy parts as they water some of the plants alongside & that makes the soil slightly muddy at some parts.

there's an attached café. food is so-so. pizza was ok but the steak was disaster. also mozzies aplenty in d café. smoking is allowed inside despite a signage stating otherwise. breakfast is a choice from a fixed menu, satisfactory nonetheless. menu price is fair. would surely return to this place in future.

After leaving Semarang and before heading to Karimunjawa Islands I spend a few nights in a spotless room at the Gecho Inn. Everything I needed was available and everybody was superhelpfull with everything; from getting a boatticket to Karimunjawa (as the internet boatinformation is bad) to where to stay after the Islands. After visiting the highlights in Jepara and wanting to extend the tranquility I got used to on the Islands I wanted to see less concrete and more green around. So I stayed at the brand new Gecho Inn Country after returning from the Islands and ... that was even better than staying in Jepara ! It's a few miles out of town but really worth going for further R&R with all the luxuries of a five star hotel (big pool, cable tv, air con, wifi and so on). Of course you can't escape the mosks in Java, but at least they are further away than in town and sometimes even bring a smile to your face when a few mosks 'battle on air' in the evening. Had a great time in both places and well worth visiting and staying again. Very good experience.
