I had booked a room in another place but ended up having a coffee at Hotel Jechrina's lovely pool terrace. And coming back for great food, spectacular mojitos and spectacular service. The always friendly staff showed me one of their apartments with a terrace overlooking the pool and I just had switch from my previous hotel to this one. The hotel is located very close to the beach with good bus connections to the city centre. The owners took time to not only greet and serve me with a smile, but even to teach me Greek and tell me about the island. I will go back for sure!

We were greeted by a lovely Greek family (All able to speak amazing English! I was embarrassed I knew no Greek...) They were so welcoming and friendly, explained a little about the apartments and the area.
They showed us to our room - set out very nicely and everything you needed - balcony was facing onto the road, which at first we were disappointed with, but we definitely saw the best sunsets from our balcony so mad it worth it! Kitchen is basic but everything you need, and if there is something missing they will get it from their restaurant kitchen.
Air con is a little cold- couldn't seem to change temperature, so we used a quick cool down now and again.
Facilities are great - the pool is very large for amount of apartments, with a small, shallow area perfect for children or just for lounging in! Toys supplied for the pool too! The areas around the pool is very relaxing, lots of sun loungers and shade available and their fantastic restaurant Piato is situated by the side, where you can just drink, eat snacks of gorge on their beautifully home cooked Greek cuisine- definitely some of the best in the Chania region!!!
The location for us was perfect - about a 2 mile walk into Chania itself (not a particularly nice walk) or just a 10 minute bus ride from the stop 3 minutes up the road! We liked being out of town as meant it wasn't so touristy and busy.
Just 5 minutes down the road is the beautiful, sandy cove where you are greeted by shallow and warm waters. There are sun loungers for hire or plenty of beach space. Although busy, it was never over crowded even in the busiest season when we went!
Really is a wonderful place to stay and the family and Jechrina make you feel comfortable and relaxed, passionate about their hosting skills!

I highly recommend this hotel´s restaurant. It was our last evening in Crete and our family was thinking where we should go to have some dinner, gladly we choose this one. We live in Kato Daratso and found this familyhotel restaurant JeChrina´s.

Food was so good and portion size were big. The waiters were very, very friendly. This place offers Cretan hospitality and friendly service.

My wife and I spent 10 wonderful days at this lovely hotel. It is kept spotlessly clean. Our spacious, one bedroom apartment was cleaned everyday and fresh sheets and towels supplied. It is a 5min walk to the nearest beach, 1min to the nearest mini market, 10min to Chania town by taxi, a little longer by the local bus service. You can walk into Kalamaki or use the bus or taxi to Agii Marina or Platanias. But the icing on the cake is the genuinely lovely family that own and run Jechrina. They are the warmest people you could meet. Yannas cooking in their Piato restaurant is the best we have come across in over 15 years of Greek Island holidays. Thank you Yanna, Manolis, Jerry and Christina for your hospitality. Martin and Anne.
