everything you need to see at a rhum plantation and more. the factory well explained and set out for the visitor, the shop and rhum tasting, the amazing gardens and surrounding views of infinite banana plantations etc. the quaint plantation house and it's epoc furnishings and two small art galleries that promote local artists with changing expos throughout the year. One gallery is modern the other 'case a Leo' not so. If you want to visit only the art and gardens you say so at the entrance and you go in free! but if it is your first visit it is worth paying as you get to see everything. Take a walk round the pond and get to see all species of local trees that are labeled. Be surprized, go visit!

My wife and I visisted here as part of tour of the Island of Martinique, off the Wind Surf, while on a cruise in the Caribbean. The Island of Martinique is quite lovely and the Habitation Clement is a visual and historical treat! We toured on a bright, sunshine filled day which made the entire gournds sparkle!

Our tour included a view of the grounds and garden with interesting trees and plants. Flowers are everywhere and the colors are stunning.

The museum and main house are restored and quite interesting and offer a glimpse of the past on Martinique.

The walking tour concludes with a visit to the tasting room and the opportunity to purchase spirits!

this place is relly worth of a visit. It is located in a very large and nic park where you can walk on the grass and see a lot of different tropical plants (all marked with nameplates). The audio guides in English and French are available. On the site you can visit an old rum production facilities and a traditional creole house where the plantation owner and the founder of the rum mark Clement lived furnished with original furniture. There is a very fine boutique where you can taste and buy different types of rum. We spent a very pleasant morning there and we felt that 9 euros spent for th entrance ticket (per person) was not much at all. Strongly recommend to everyone who comes to Martinique to visit this place. It is very well kept.

Habitation Clement is a wonderful old plantation house in good state of repair unlike some on the island. There's an interesting photo gallery showing the numerous politians, artists and musicans who have been guests at the house over the years. The grounds offer some nice shady walks and you can also visit the plantation's rum factory and sample some of their produce.
