I only have 2 bad things to say about this place.

To far from cheap shops. The once here are expensive but still good choice of goods.

The other is the Buffet. Got tired of it after the day 3. Very little local dishes to try. If you want something local, you will have go out.

Otherwise the place is beautiful. And the beach is great fun on til 1pm. After that the tide comes in and it gets very windy. The beach is also warmer then the pool. One thing you shouldn't miss is Los Palmitos park. Buy tickets in reception and take the 45 bus to Los Palomitos.

Stayed here for two weeks with a big family. Upon arrival, they forgot to give all of us card keys at check-in, and we all ended up not getting inside for close to an hour. A bottle of wine did excuse the bad first impression though. The cleaning was OK, and we had a decent view to the ocean. Unfortunately the (very) noisy show at the neighbouring Hotel Orquidea wasn't worth being this close to the beach. The area is old, outdated and not very presentable. Pictures showing the place straight out lie, and do not give the right impression. All the restaurants and supermarkets in the area seem to be run by the hotel, and are all very expensive with not much to offer.

The pool is shared between so many people, that it's a _really_ bad idea to go there. And not to mention that everyone at the hotel is up at 7 AM to grab their beds, which according to the hotel is not allowed. Also, when trying to get new towels, they never had enough for everyone. Great. But who cares .. we ended up renting a car, going to Amadores and elsewhere.

I would highly recommend going somewhere else, unless you really enjoy an insanely crowded place where the childrens pool smells like vomit. Look to Maspalomas - great place, better beaches, better hotels.

Stayed here for a week with family (2 adults and 4 children). The area was clean, peaceful and quiet and the rooms were nice and clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had a design-room with pool which was an excellent choice. We had breakfast at hotel Orquidea and the selection of food was huge but so was the noise as well. Glad we didn´t have the all inclusive :) Bahia Feliz is seen in an hour so I would recommend hiring a car or traveling by bus to nearby locations.

We stayed this hotel in September 2012. The hotel was great, it has nice enviroment, great pools, large and clean apartments, great all inclusive food service. Food never ended, were many different foods and the drinks. Even there were lot of guests in the hotel the food lines were planned so well, that you didn't have to stand on line at all, it worked so well that you get to eat your food hot. The evening shows were also awesome, very well planned for whole family, you could see the hotel has put an effort (and money) in them and they worked for whole family great. The kids club was also planned very well. Can't say anything negative about this hotel, the experiment was so nice. Relaxing holiday, friendly hotel staff, nice guests who noticed the other guests very well, behaved friendly (british, scandinavians, germans... :-) Will recommend and yes, we would go back to this hotel :-)

September 1st our family visited Gran Canaria for the first time. We traveled with Fritidsresor (TUI) and our destination was the design apartments at Tres Vidas (Blue Village) in Bahia Feliz. Our initial apartment was by the beach (neighbor with the surf club) with a pretty nice sea view - BUT, it felt kind of dark and narrow, with a tiny terrace. So, we emptied our travel funds and bought ourselves an upgrade ;-). We hoped to get one with a large balcony - but they were all occupied...

The "new" apartment was at the top of the hill (which includes a pretty steep slope to climb each day) - it too was a design room, but the big advantage was the direct-pool-access. Felt really luxury to have a private pool (well, yes - you have to share it with three other apartments. But since this was at the end of the season, only one of them was occupied). Felt like our own. The water was crystal clear. Speaking of pools, not all of the pools felt that clean. The big pool area by the Orquidea hotel was quite nice and clean, but the pool at Blue Village Playa Feliz (nearby) was turbid with quite much dirt in it. I guess that is what you get in a crowded pool.

Cleaning of the room was good, fresh design, dishes washed, new towels almost every day.
Another nice gesture is that all rooms receive a free pass to the Orquidea SPA for 2 people.

The hotel surroundings was very clean and tidy. Green grass, lush vegetation and pretty flowers, something that's quite sparse on the rest of the island. Great entertainment most of the time, both day and night. Here we must praise Thomson (British part of TUI) - they really kept the activities and party going...which is great for the guests. Fritidsresor on the other hand had some great evenings with musical shows, but during daytime they were rather invisible?!?!?

We chose the all-inclusive option which was valid on most restaurants and bars - but not all, which is a bit odd when you think you have just bought all-inclusive. The food was good, but after a few days it felt a bit recurrent. However I think the wine and drinks included was of poor quality, tasteless - specially the different drinks was presented without any passion.

What about beaches ? Yes, the hotel is located right by the ocean, but the beach was boring and uninteresting. Small parts of nice soft sand..but mostly rocky shores. Wind and large waves made the visibility below surface almost zero when snorkeling.

Some cons:
- Free WiFi only in the reception area. WiFi at apartments costs extra.
- Safety box in the room costs extra
- Some of the Fritidsresor staff need to take a training course in service attitude
- The air conditioning had problems to cover all bedrooms - really sweaty some nights
- Very hard and uncomfortable beds =)
- No nearby shopping (except supermarket and some tourist traps)

Room Tip: I would choose a room with a large terrace or large balcony. Or if you like to spoil yourself - I re...

This is a nice place for young families. Most speak good English. The nearest restaurant can provide some institutional character, but there are several restaurants to choose. All of good quality. The pool is OK and clean. It's easy to take the bus into Playa del Ingles, even with strollers.

Room Tip: We were unfortunately not met our desire to neighboring apartment with those we traveled with. It wa...

The hotel and the surrounding apartments in Blue Village Bahia Feliz hold a normal good standard. The food served at the hotel is very good, and the prices are quite affordable.

We first stayed in 2 apartments (our group was quite large/2 adults+6 kids), but on the 4'th day we had a break-in and had to move to the hotel as the apartments were all rented out. According to a local shop owner we met, break-ins are quite normal in the area.

The rooms at the hotel were clean and tidy. What was not so nice was the fact that there were a lot of very noisy guests there, and since we had a 9 weeks old baby with us, this made our stay not so pleasant. We tried to address this issue with the hotelmanagement (and with the local representatives of the travel company/TUI) but they did not try a little bit to help.

The area surrounding Bahia Feliz is rather boring. There is NOTHING there accept a local shopping centre/mall. And Playa del Ingles is too far away for going every day, esp. with small kids.

So, if you travel to Gran Canaria we recommend other places than Bahia Feliz. (We have been to both Playa del Ingles and Puerto Rice before).

Room Tip: Make sure NOT to get an apartment not covered by the sucurity cams. The burglars apparently know whi...
