The hotel is lovely and of high standard with friendly staff who always seem happy to help.
The food was good although a touch repetative, spag bol every night, lasagne at least 3 times in a week. That said there was normally plenty of other options, fresh meat and fish every evening and the breakfast were great, having visited Egypt for the past few years I forgot sausages were available outside Britain! Plenty of fresh fruits yogurts etc each day. Not the greatest food but its mass catering so cant expect to much I dont think.
The rooms were tidy and of a good size, had a problem with our tv that the hotel sorted within minutes. Only drawback with rooms would be the steps inside, nightmare with an 18month old as up and down all the time. Therefore hard to relax fully when back in the room.
Pools are great, though take some getting used too with the temp! Great to have the toddlers pool. Only a few inches deep but our youngest, and many others of similar age, loved it. Just next to that is the kids pool for those not quite ready for the big pool with slides etc. Also two big pools for the bigger kids and adults to have pool fun. Only downside would be the room around the pools. Felt a bit claustraphobic and crowded but if thats all we need to worry about...I got up early each day to make sure we were next to toddlers pool but if the kids are a bit older there is no real need. Although it always looks crowded there was still plenty of spare beds.
The entertainment team were amazing! Always full of spring and happy with a amile on there face. Great with the kids and full of enthusiasm. We took our 2 eldest to club most days that they loved. They have 3 groups depending on age and have set times for those clubs. At the same time they also run a "drop in" for those that may not want full club time or not want to be seperated from siblings of different group. The kids team were amazing and all the kids seem to love being there. They always went the extra yard to make sure fun was being had and even came out to say goodbye on their day off at 00.45!
Biggest downside would have to be the flies. We spent 2 1/2 days and they were bloody everywhere! Restaurant, snack bar, rooms, pool side, reception...Very irratating that was apparently down to the wind blowing them in from elsewhere, very windy for 2 days! Would be recommended for the hotel to have some sort of deterent in place for such things. There is spray available at the market across the road but cant exactly fumigate the room with kids around. Overall I would thouroughly recommend if you have kids, probably not the best place for couples!
