My visit happened on a Saturday when the college who now occupy the old mansion was closed. There was no signage about the place. The church favored by this aristocratic family, just up the plaza, was open, a wealth of gilt and marble like I have never seen. Cieplice is still a health resort town, not at all touristy, lots of C19 buildings and walkways to look around. The countryside is pleasant to drive in. There is a Schaffgotsch archive somewhere in the district but I did not locate it.
