“Some hidden jewels, but you have to look for them.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 4, 2014

We made a special trip to Las Dalias because of its reputation (60 years of "hippy market"). The place was easy to find and there is plenty of parking nearby. The market is not as big as we had been led to think, but still there are plenty of stalls with all sorts of merchandise. I was slightly disappointed because there are not many real handcrafted goods. I particularly enjoyed talking with one of the few artisans around, a man that recycles all sorts of objects and metals into beautiful and unique pieces of jewellery. The place got a bit hot and crowded as time went on, but there was nice music, food and drink at reasonable prices and there is a friendly atmosphere. Definitively worth a visit.

“Shopping Paradise”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 3, 2014

I've heard from Las Dalias Hippy Market and decided I wanted to have a look for myself. To get there we've rented a car, we could find it pretty easily and there is a good parking space next to the market, which costs 3 euros.

The market is huge, you do not know where to start, but we decided to start at the end since we figured it would not be so busy over there, a good choice.

There is so much to see and to buy, and of course in the high season it is very packed and warm, but still we thought it was worth our time. We wandered around for about five hours and sat down to drink a beer. Prices for a drink on the market were really normal.

Their is a big variety in goods and therefore for everyone's wishes, but do not think prices are normal market prices, because they definitely not cheap.

For me this Hippy Market was definitely worth a visit!!

tip; try to go early in the morning around 09.00 or late in the evening around 18.00

“Expensive & overated”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 31, 2014

Visited this market as part of a coach trip on 14th July, 11pm. Still very hot & very crowded. Stalls selling authentic goods were few & far between. We did see two, a lady sat making leather handbag's & a guy who looked like he was one of the original hippies who came over in the 60's. What a character. he was, making leather & metal jewellery. Hammering on designs you chose onto the pendants etc, brilliant. The rest mass produced goods that are sold in
generally in shops all over the island. I picked up a child's beaded bracelet ( there were so many the same style on the stall) asked how much 25 euros!!!! Later on in week we saw same thing for 5 euros in Santa Eulahlia. My husband looked at some run of the mill sunglasses that had been blinged up 95 euros. Total rip off. The only stall that was busy sales wise was one full of pebbles of various sizes, these had been painted pastel colours. You could pick which one you wanted based on size priced 1-5 euros. The stall holders then painted on children's names or message of choice on it & varnished it. They did a roaring trade. Out of our coach (which was full) only one person bought something, we were all waiting for the coach 15 mins before the allotted pick up time. What a disappointment because I was looking forward to it.

“Good fun”

Lots of cheap imports not very many Ibiza crafted goods. Which is fine, just don't expect artisanal goods - you can still find great, cheap individual pieces.

I was wearing Topshop shorts and came face to face with the 100% identical pair on a stall for quite a lot less money........!!

You can still find some nice stuff there, jewellery and accessories - don't forget to haggle, they look you up and down and especially if you are English will whack the price up.
