I'm sorry about rating the rooms without having seen them, but I couldn't review the restaurant on its own. We haven't stayed at the hotel, only came over for our wedding anniversary dinner from our rented cottage in Cútar (where there is no restaurant). After our 45 min walk across the hot and dry hills and slopes between Cútar and El Borge, frankly, any restaurant would have done the job, but OMG, didn't we have the most special meal Andalucia could offer!
The basic white table wine was remarkably delicious, I bet a bottle of it would cost a smaller fortune back home. Then came the starter: roast peppers and chips served with some sweet syrup - amazing. The mains were super too (grilled chicken breast with pepper sauce and grilled -giant- squid), both my husband and I were speechless, just enjoying our meals until the last few bites. And the deserts... Heavenly may be the word to describe the 3-chocolate cake as well as the large portion of tiramisu. I was completely full by this time but it was impossible to leave even a morsel on the plate.
After the meal we had a digestive on the house AND got a lift back to Cútar by the head waiter (taxis don't operate in this area) - what a lovely man he is!
I can't wait to be back to this lovely little town and (not leat) this precious restaurant.
ps.: I'm glad somebody took a photograph of the toilet, which was a phenomenon on its own.
