Our stay overall was very nice and I would recommend this place to others but some minor improvements can be made. The pool and the surroundings of the pool are very very nice because it is right next to the beach and the pool itself is very refreshing and serves it´s purpose. The restaurant serves great lunch at a good price and the waiters serve you all day with a friendly smile on their face. (They bring all the drinks and lunch right next to your beach or poolbed) The restaurant is also a great recommender for dinner because the dishes are very very tasty and well decorated, it is one of the better meals we had in Thailand and it is also recommended by Lonely Planet. The room is nice aswell but looks a bit outdated, it didn´t bother me but it comes off as a bit bland. The bathroom is very nice though and so are the beds and wi-fi service. The reception and other staff were very helpful but we noticed that their English is not as good as the other hotels we stayed at so sometime it took a bit more trouble to explain ourselves. (Just a minor technicality though)

Overall we would recommend this hotel because it´s good value for money, has a great pool, a great restaurant and the location is right off Lamai Beach road so you are never far away from your hotel!

In terms of value for money, this place is probably one of the better places you could stay in Lamai. The beachfront location is perfect for couples or families. They have sunbeds facing out into the water which is very beautiful both during the day and also at night when they let off lanterns and fireworks.

The hotel itself is in a good location on the beach, but also very close to the centre of Lamai where the night market takes place.

The hotel rooms are quite basic, but they are clean and the beds are quite comfortable. We asked to be placed in a quiet area of the resort and our request was accommodated- we didn't hear any noise from the nearby bars at all. The rooms have a TV and DVD player and we hired DVDs for free from the front desk a couple of times. The hotel grounds are also very nice with lots of tropical plants. My only criticism is that the rooms are quiet dark, but that didn't really bother us. It could be good for people wanting to sleep in!

The breakfasts are very good quality and the food is kept fresh and cold by the use of ice buckets. We also ate dinner there one night and the food was reasonably priced and tasty, although the restaurant was a bit quiet.

The service at Lamai Wanta was good, particularly at the restaurant. When we asked the front desk about a reputable place for scooter hire they suggested 'Green Samui' which is on the same road as Lamai Wanta, just before the corner. We were VERY happy with this company to rent scooters. The lady there was very helpful and the bikes were good quality. They accepted a photocopy of our passports and we left our International drivers license with them. They were very helpful.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lamai Wanta to someone wanting good value for money, basic rooms and a nice beachfront location.

Lamai Wanta was definately one of our top 3 resorts during our month long stay in Thailand. The staff were helpful, the rooms in good condition and very clean, and the pool and restaurant in a great position right on the beach.
The food is great and the service quick.
I would definately recommend this resort to anyone looking to stay on Lamai Beach on Koh Samui, it's inexpensive given it's facilities and makes for a great stay.

This place consists of a hotel and bungalows. The hotel building is close to Samui nightlife, so it does makes sense when I read that other people complain about some noise. On the other hand, this building is a 'sound wall' for the bungalows, where it was quiet all night. We stayed in119, a nicely decorated family bungalow with extra bedroom.
The rooms are light, spacious and clean. The beds are big and very nice. Instead of curtains there are wooden shutters on the inside (don't forget to wake up again). Next to that the bungalows have free wifi, a safety box, AC, tv, dvd, fridge, big and modern bathrooms.

All bungalows are close the swimming pool, Coast Cafe and beach. Breakfast was good and very complete. Staff is great and very friendly with our young kids. During rainfall the waiter brought drinks and food to our bungalow, so that we would also 'profit' from their happy hour. The menu is a mixture of main stream Thai and western food, quality is absolutely above avarage,

Not the cheapest place on Lamai Beach, but the extra money you pay is definitely worth it.
