Ranked #8 of 51 Hotels in Lamai Beach

I cant stress enough that if you are visiting Lamai Beach in Loh Samui you must stay at this hotel. Its the best in Lamai by miles! Its 5* and worth every penny. The staff is what makes staying here such a wonderful experience. The rooms are amazing we stayed in the Junior Spa Suite. The Plunge Pool is fab to relax in after a day on the beach. The clean the rooms everyday and change the towels etc.

The hotel food is just lovely and not expensive as you would expect. An average meal for a Main, Pudding and Alcohol Drinks for a couple is about 1,300 baht. We stayed here for 10 nights and ate there on 4 nights cos we had so much food to choose from we wanted to go back to try as much as we could. The Breakfast they offer is great they change it everyday so you dont feel like you are being offered the same things everyday.

I would recommend a visit to the Spa. We did a package for 2 and a half hours of treatments and a 3 course meal at the hotel for 5,500 baht and it was worth every penny. It was the most relaxing experience ever!

Reception can help you book any tours you want to do and they also have great knowledge of all the tours and they are very helpful in booking them etc.

The location of the hotel is great right in the middle of everything but you would never know as the hotel is so lovely and peaceful. Lamai is great for a relaxing holiday. But Chewang is abit more upbeat and meals seem to be more expensive there. If your in a couple stay in Lamai as you are only a 15minute drive away from there.

You must eat on the beach at Swing Bar and Magic Resturant they do lovely food aswell and you sit right by the sea for your dinner or just drinks. Is a lovely setting! The only thing i would Stress is that you need to have Mozzie spray on everynight as you will be covered in bites if you dont! Buy Tiger Balm out there if you do get bitten as its the best thing to help them.

I cant say anymore about the fact you should def stay here and any bad reviews on here ignore as there isnt one thing to complain about!! It is Perfect and i will be returning again and again here!

We stayed for 8 nights. Great location, great beach and nice resort. 5 min walk to resturants and bars in the main street.Hotel beds a little hard but the staff did try to sort for us. The beach is great so we elected not to have a pool in our room. Beach is swept every day and the loungers all placed well. The breakfasts were good, the resturant being a good location looking over the manicured beach. We opted for the Thai cooking classes which I recommend. Food at the resturant is very good but we ate at a different resturant each night in Lamai. The Thai House next door is great with dining on the beach. Overall a very pleasant stay.

We stayed here for the last 2 nights of our honeymoon, and oh, how I wish it was for longer. This place is amazing. The rooms are just gorgeous, our one had a bath and we felt so comfortable there (ps the shower was great). The food is simply put, incredible. Breakfast was brilliant but it was the restaurant food at dinner which got me - my meal had the wow factor. Between lounging between the pool and the beach, we had the most relaxing time and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Exceeded expectations by far and highly recommend to any honeymoon couples.

This is an excellent hotel in a great location. We had a downstairs spa room with its own jacuzzi bath in the courtyard. the room was really cool and the jacuzzi bath just great to come back to after a day on the beach or a busy day out and about. The staff were very friendly and helpful although not as good as others in Thailand we have experienced. The location of the hotel is brilliant. it is just 5 mins walk down the main street to find many bars/restaurants but this is far enough away for the hotel to be peaceful. The food and drink in the hotel are very expensive as you would expect, so we loved eating at Black Diamond and Bauhaus and for a drink, the Pochahontas Bar close to the hotel was great or the Chill Bar on the Beach just next to The Bikini Bar. We had a great time on Koh Samui and we really enjoyed staying at this hotel.

Have got to admit - this hotel is not cheap. In fact, it's pretty pricey. However, it's the best hotel on Lamai. Nothing comes close. Walking distance to shopping district, and restaurants etc.

It's not the hotel to stay at for budget travellers, beers are around 200BHT, but for a honeymoon, or special occassion - I cannot recommend it enough!

Don't use their spa - just walk onto the beach to the friendly Thai girls and get your massage for 250BHT. Don't eat in their restaurant (good but dear), try the markets - Pad Thai 40BHT.

We spent 5 nights with my wife and a couple of friends.
The hotel is definitely on the high side.

+
Modern design
Room is really good looking and well equiped, beautiful private pools
A/C rather silent (not always the case in Thailand)
Located in the middle of Lamai beach
Helpful reception : organised for us a nice boat trip and a car rental, and were helpful with a difficult taxi hiring and drive. All this at decent rate.
Really good restaurant, beautiful spa
-
Service could be better. Staff are not always as smiling and kind as anywhere else in Thailand. May be because it's Samui, that is not like Thailand mainland.
Lamai "nightlife" starts 10mn walking distance from the hotel. If you don't want to know or to see you can. And for those interested ... it's not so far
Lack of beach mattresses : many hotel guests put their towels on them as early as 7AM, before their breakfast just to "book" them !!

When we decided to get married in Koh Samui I spoke to every resort / hotel on the entire Island. I went from every option, we could have had the wedding in one place and then stayed at another resort but when we found the Samui Pavilion we decided that we would have our wedding day there and stay there as it was just so beautiful.
We spent 7 days at the resort, treated like royality. We also had all of our guests stay with us (so a total of 19 people) stayed at the resort.
Not one person had one complaint.
All the staff, Jessada in particular was fantastic. They put the whole wedding together just as we asked. We never had to check on anything and they always told us what was going on. And all the preperation was done by email from Australia. They organised flowers, hair, make up, everything you could imagine. They let us serve our own Moet champagine that everyone brought with them duty free.
The room was amazing. The night of the wedding they decorated it in the most classy way with rose petals on the bed and in the bathtub which they set up for us. AMAZING!!! Try getting this level of service anywhere else in the world. And always with a smile.
It was our 1st wedding anniversary last week and we went back to Koh Samui to celebrate it. We of course went to the Pavilion and everyone remembered us. It's such a nice feeling to go somewhere and know they actually are genuine about their feelings about you and not just doing it because it's their job!
If you read any negative reviews about the resort check the date because in 2005 and 2006 they were doing a refurbishment on the resort so it was a little messy and noisy but today it is amazing, beautiful, modern with tradition Thai style. Just amazing... and I'm very fussy.. when I check into a hotel I always check the room before I take my bags up because usually the room isnt good enough. But this was ever the case at the Samui Pavilion. Enjoy your stay you will not be dissapointed!
