I can't fault the staff, location, service and overall feel of this place. Enjoyed every minute. They also serve a great breakfast up until 11am, so if you've ventured out the night before to Lamai Beach or Chewang, you'll still get breakfast the next morning!

Staff that stood out for me were Crystall, Nut and the main pool boy. All very friendly, welcoming and kind.

Only downside to the stay was the price of drinks around the main pool...they are very high in comparison with the neighbouring beach bar. Aside from this, the gym good do with some more / new equipment.

Great stay.

Dear Sexytonyboy84,

Thank you for your kind review here on TripAdvisor! It was great to have you as our guests and I am happy to read that you enjoyed our breakfast. We will share your comments with Chrystal, Khun Nut and the Pool Bar team.

The prices at the pool are of course higher than a local beach bar, we do however strive to keep them reasonable and I hope you had the chance to enjoy our Sunset Hours from 5 to 7pm (Buy One Get One). We are also working on plans to upgrade our Gym.

Please come back soon to visit us and in the meantime we send our very best regards to Richmond,

Killian Donoghue.

Renaissance Koh Samui. We stayed here one night on our way to Koh Tao. My husband is platinum and we were upgraded to a suite on the 6th floor which was more like a large apartment. It was huge with 3 rooms and glass windows all the way around giving a panoramic view. It was lovely to stay there. I don't like how the traffic is with all the scooters and no sidewalks. We tried to walk to dinner and it was so scary because the scooters come right at you and you have to get out of their way. I walked in the dirt o. The side of the road a lot. We ended up at a Swiss restaurant next door to the hotel which was excellent called Rostiland.
We had issues getting a Ferry to Koh Tao and the front desk staff went way out of their way to help us, especially a young girl, I wish I got her name.

Dear GojiAnna,

Greetings from sunny Koh Samui! Thank you for staying with us even though one night must have been too short to experience the island and our resort. I am very pleased that our reception team made a lasting impression on you and will ensure to share your feedback.

We hope to be able to welcome you back soon and send our best regards to St. Petersburg,

We spent 4 nights at this beautiful hotel and it was NOT ENOUGH! The staff was beyond wonderful! They knew our names by the first night! As vegetarians we were afraid we would find it difficult to find food, but the chef personally came out to us and made us Thai dishes which were fantastic! The villa room was beautiful with a view of the sea! The pool was clean and peaceful. We would recommend this hotel to everyone who doesn't want to be in a touristy area like Chewang Beach.

Room Tip: If you're looking for a "private villa" as for #8 or #9 which are actually secluded! W...

We spent a week at this incredibly relaxing resort, in a wonderful garden and beach setting, as a special treat for my 60th birthday. Staying in a wonderfully appointed beach villa was great and we really enjoyed having our own private whirl pool with views over the bay. The beach was for us terrific, nice and quiet, and the shallow water meant it was just so warm to lie and soak just so very relaxing. Complimentary fruits or ice cream in the early afternoon was appreciated. We had awesome meals at Tawann, especially the seafood platter, and the Banana Leaf restaurant buffet breakfasts are among the best I have ever had. So nice to have subtle changes available each day. What a treat to have little delicacies brought around by the chef to the table each day! I have never stayed at a hotel with such friendly staff, the breakfast teams that included the wonderfully friendly Rainy, and Mimi, the smiling Kamanpoo, and the incredibly effervescent Kim was just great. We would recommend the beach barbeque and the great fire show with its spectacular finale. We had a great massage at the Qan spa, thanks Pat!. Our thanks to Didier, supported by especially Victoria but also Narein and Chrystal who couldn't have done more for us. For us it was the little attention to detail that made this a special vacation. We will definitely look forward to coming back!

This hotel is a true high end resort with everything you could expect of such an establishment : good service, great rooms, great amenities, great food, etc. The site is beautifully maintained with great gardens and two nice pools (one Olympic size pool). There's a fully furnished gym which we used. The only downside I would say is the beach ... There's a low tide which makes a good swim impossible. You may go further on lamai beach near rummania resort to enjoy great waters. The highlight of our room was the jacuzzi on our bug terrace. I would go back anytime. This hotel is a dream come true.

Dear Valo_voyage,

Thank you for sharing your holiday experience with the TripAdvisor community! We are very happy to hear how much you enjoyed your time with us! The water levels are indeed lower in April and May, depending also on the current moon phase.

Hoping to see you on Koh Samui again and with best regards to Montreal,
