I'm currently staying at this hotel and all my expectations were filled first time I entered to the hotel. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, especially restaurant staff and very helpful girl, Ahmie, working at the tour desk. I'm satisfied with the room and balcony (I have a standard room at the main building). Restaurant offers one of the best value for money regarding food. Tip: Try anything on the favorite thai food section. You won't be disappointed. I have no opinion of breakfast because I didn't include that to my stay. I think it was over priced (300baths a day).

Location is excellent. Every sunday there are market just 10 meters from the hotel. Location is perfect for full relaxation. All the bars, pubs, shops and restaurant just in walking distance. The beach is beautiful and good also for families traveling with small kids. Note there aren't any lifeguards so keep your eye on the small kids. The part of the beach where the hotel is located is very quite, no problem getting hotel owned sunbeds that are free for hotel guests.

Service works to sunbeds as well.

This is perfect as 3 star beach resort. Some may feel staff a bit rude but it is mostly because of the language barrier. Try to understand that you are in Thailand. Smile and you'll be smiled back the whole stay. Can you imagine that I was asked out by our hotel staff. We had great time dancing all night on Chaweng beach.

Remember to use mosquito repellent anywhere here during sunrise, sunset and also at night to avoid dengue-virus. Rooms are sprayed daily with repellent so no problem of mosquito in the rooms. Security was good, you can keep laptops etc. in the room. They won't be taken!! Safety box at the front desk.

Bed is hard but comfy. I have never slept as good as here.

Overall I'm having great stay at the moment. I will be leaving Samui on the day after tomorrow and definitely coming back next year.

Very good to stay on July. Sun was shining every day, one rain shower day time. Come before 15th July so you can fully relax before high season eventho this part of the beach is quite and good.

I don't have any complaints. Extremely satisfied about all. FREE FAST WIFI IN ROOMS, PUBLIC AREAS, RESTAURANT AND EVEN ON THE BEACH!!

I paid 13500 bath for 10 nights stay so definitely excellent value for my money!

Come here, you would not be disappointed. Only if you have used to stay in five star resorts which this is not.

TIP: Check availability of beach bungalows from the hotel website. Only 5 available!! They're great!!

I will be coming back to this hotel next year with my family and friends.

Room Tip: Ask for room facing garden, bungalow or beach bungalow.

Beds were very old and not very comfortable, bathrooms very old with low pressure showers that remind me of hostels, not a hotel with Resort in it's name. King bed is two twins pushed together in their more upper scale bungalow. The service was great and the food above average. Katja, the hotel Guest Services, was great and very helpful! The beach was one of the best in Lamai and had great chairs, even though the umbrellas had to be rigged up with old twine so they wouldn't blow away. Just another old set up that could use some updating. Drink specials were good and their Mojitos were some of the best! Sometimes the Laguna had a nasty smell, but most days you could smell it. Otherwise it was quiet and in a great location, very easy to walk to anything in Lamai.

Room Tip: Don't book the building unless you want to be in a cramped, dark space. Most days you need to rest in the room from the afternoon heat and rain so a room with good ambiance is needed.

Great location right on the beach.
Rooms are of a good size, beds are quite hard but comfortable. Though the bedding is too small for the beds. Single blanket and sheets are used across the bed !!!
The rooms and facilities are kept very clean.
Free wifi available throughout, though reception and signal could be improved.
The staff are very friendly and have the "Thai Smile".
The massage is a must. They sorted out a couple of my aches and pains.

We stayed there Feb.21-26, 2012 and would definitely stay there again. We were picked up at the airport with no problem. Originally given room 115, then 117 and after very nicely complaining, because these rooms are on the ground floor and are very musty smelling, we were given a room on the second floor and our holiday began. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was a very nice buffet with a good selection. There is pretty good shopping in the little village behind the hotel & just a 5min. walk to get there. Swimming was great and Lamai beach is the place to be. Far superior than Chaweng. Would highly recommend because it was good value for the money.

Room Tip: Stay away from rooms 115,116 & 117. I think they must have been affected by the flooding. They are dark and somewhat musty and the air fresheners that are hanging everywhere are a good clue there is a problem with them.

currently staying at Laguna, the staff are fantastic, especially Katja, the rooms are clean and quiet. If you have a problem it is sorted quickly and efficiently. Couldnt ask for a more perfect hotel if you cannot afford five star hotels! may be a three star hotel but you get five star service. love it here and will keep returning.

Room Tip: do a bungalow if you can
