“Maybe the cook had already gone home?”
Reviewed January 15, 2014

I ate here one night after midnight, when most of the other places were closed. Maybe the cook had gone home because the food was pretty bad. Neither I or my girlfriend finished our meals.

“Nice restaurant, friendly staff and good service”
Reviewed January 1, 2014

We stayed for 4 days in Lamai. I'm a vegetarian so struggle for choices in the heaven for sea food and non-veg cuisine. We tried Tandoori Nights on the 3rd day of the trip. Below are the highlights
Positives-
* Authentic Indian food - You can rest assured the food is tasty, well cooked and is authentic to the core of Indian cuisine. Coming from London, I can now easily differentiate between authentic Indian restaurants and others that pretend to serve Indian food while creating an amalgamation of different asian cuisines.
* Friendly staff - the staff is very friendly and helpful. Service is prompt and attentive. Anand was extremely helpful and certainly knows how to run a small but well managed restaurant. We were travelling next day to Phuket so decided to pack few parathas from this place. Anand ensured we were provided well packed parathas that eventually acted as a saviour for us on the journey
* Spice level - you can definitely decide the spice level at this restaurant while placing your order. They do actually pay attention to your specifications and ensures food is cooked according to your preferences.

I would certainly recommend this restaurant to all the curry lovers. My wife eats non-veg and she loved the chicken tikka masala. In vegetarian, try the paneer dishes, dal tadka, samosa and definitely try the parathas.

“Excellent Indian restaurant”
Reviewed December 31, 2013

I came to Lamai about three months ago and I knew nothing about indian cuisine in that time. Thanks to Tandoori Nights staff, I'm a big fan of it now. Since th first visit there I've been eating there one or two times a week. Here you can point at any line in menu (very big menu, more then 100 items) at random and you can be sure that the food will be highly delicious. Definitly, my favorite place in Lamai and may be on Samui at all in spite of great number of lovely restaurants around. Strongly recommended.

“Great food”
Reviewed December 27, 2013

We walked past every day and all credit to the lovely boy outside Caotoo who works the constant stream of foot traffic with his beautiful smile..and it works..We are English so know our way around an Indian restaurant menu but we were really impressed with the amount and the variety on offer. The owner went to a lot of trouble explaining various dishes to another couple which we thought was great as it can be a bit overwhelming if you,ve not had Indian before. We went for a chicken dopiaza , steam rice and a paneer sizzling dish, garlic naan and an onion kulcha. We were given a complimentary small poppadom and a small dip to start but the food arrived very quickly and was absolutely delicious.2 small Singha completed our meal.
Very reasonable and would visit again and recommend.
