This small (14 rooms), beautifull, modern hotel makes your stay as a dream. Take care, when you arrive, the location might be strange but once inside the premisses... beautifull.
And then the services, Romain and his complete team make you feel home, but then as kings. They do everything to make your stay perfect. Good info what to do, the presented trips we did were a joy. Breakfast is served, but here to, you just ask and do not have to queu on a buffet.
The rooms are modern. If I have to say one minus, perhaps if you want a busy hotel with all kinds of games, this one isn't yours. We were no roomnumbers but real guests with a perfect host.
It is never crowdy, place everywhere you want. A joy!!!!
The massage in the hotel is very advisable as well.
Thank you Romain and your complete team

Room Tip: all room have seaview, the front rooms (2) are the best, but they are all very great

The hotel is now called the Beluga Boutique Hotel. When I arrived there for the weekend on my own the hotel was very quiet which is normal in low season. The entrance is unusual and somewhat discreet (see my picture). The hotel has its own swimming pool and private beach. It is a very small hotel. The rooms are very clean and very large. I had lunch on Sunday morning and was very impressed by it. I also met Pompom the charming assistant to the boss whom I did not meet. Overall it was a good experience mainly due to the staff and particularly Ed who is really and spoke French to me.

We stayed here for 6 days and just didn't want to leave. its a bold statement but this is one of the best hotels we've stayed in. It's situated at the end of Lamai beach in a very quiet spot. It's about 15 minutes walk down the beach to Lamai but to be honest you'll struggle to leave the hotel. Dinky leaves you feeling relaxed and refreshed. The service is exceptional and they make you feel like you're the only guest, such is the personal service. We are not one to eat at one restaurant throughout the holiday but the food is so good we ended eating at Dinky most of the time. The breakfast is wonderful, the mineral pool so refreshing.

To do :
Try the Strawberry iced dakari in the afternoon - simply the best way to cool down.
If you can force yourself off the sun lounger the 2 min walk to watch the sunset at grandfather rock is worth the effort.
Try the chicken and cashew nuts - in fact try all the menu it is superb.

For info Dinky is going to change its name soon to Beluga Boutique

Go - you won't regret it!

This hotel is situated at the very end of Lamai beach close to Hin Ta and Hin Yai rocks (really weird tourist attraction of you ask me..) and it has it's own almost private beach so it means this place is a synonym for peace and quiet.

Catering to an only adult crowd, you can rely on calm day lounging around the pool or on the beach. The service is a-m-a-z-i-n-g which means you will always have everything you need. Only try to open your umbrella by yourself to see 2 staff coming towards you to make sure you do not sweat it.

The staff is all very friendly, their English is very good and Pom even speaks french. The size of the hotel (only 14 rooms) means you will always get great service and you are close to literally everything you need.

The rooms are big enough for you needs (rain showers...wow!) and the included breakfast cater to everyone's needs (croissant, bread, jam, cheese, ham, eggs, omelettes, cereals, fresh fruits and pretty much everything else you may ask for). Eating at the hotel for lunch or dinner would also be recommended, great food for a very fair price.

Some of the best 5 days of my life, would go back in a heartbeat!

Room Tip: Double Deluxe sea view rooms are definitely worth the extra $.

Me and my wife stayed at the hotel for 10 nights and I can say it's the perfect place to stay when you are on Koh Samui. The hotel is situated at the southern end of the famous Lamai Beach. It has an own little private beach, a nice bar with very good cocktails and a restaurant where you can have thai food (and european food) which tastes just amazing. The rooms and bathrooms are nice decorated and very clean as is the whole hotel.
For breakfast you get a fresh fruit plate with different fruits right from the island and a plate with different sweets, cakes and bread. If you want to you can also order different kind of eggs or fresh thai food.
The owner and the whole staff of the hotel are very very friendly and very helpful and they make the hotel to a wonderful place for a perfectly relaxing holiday.
No doubt if we come back to Koh Samui, we will stay at The Dinky Rock again.
