“The worst seafood & service we have ever had in Thailand!!”
Reviewed May 2, 2013 via mobile

We were recommended from the local to try this well known seafood restaurant, we made a booking earlier to make sure we got the nice table, when we arrived no one took notice, we were walking around looking for our table, finally found it ourselves. We ordered about 10 dishes, first arrive was pineapple fried rice, no pineapple no ham only some kind of yellow rice with oil, we asked the wait staff, he replied how they make it here, joke, then oyster omelette, no oyster only oily egg, we can squeeze oil out of the omelette, next, 2x steam tiny blue swimmer crabs, cost 300 baht each no meat only skinny crab claw & full of eggs, slowly arrive yum toi plu, only green chilli, no toi plu! We ordered Tom yum krung, not arrive until we have to cancel the rest and ask for the bill, another dish arrived seafood hor mok in young coconut, it meant to cook in coconut but instead in foil covered & stuff underneath to make the dish looks big, no seafood, finally after asking for the bill, Tom yum krung arrived, we were unable to eat any more just wanted to pay & go, bill arrived with all the food we ordered but did not get to eat, more complain to get the bill fixed up. The worst restaurant we have ever eaten in Thailand & Koh Samui, do not recommend to any tourist to try this restaurant, once is more than enough. Tourist trap!

“One of the best Thai restaurants on Samui”
Reviewed April 22, 2013

We are holidaying on Samui and have so far eaten here 3 times in 9 days.

It is a big canteen style eatery with a lot of tables and it is has been pretty busy each time we have been.

We were recommended to eat here by our tour rep who promised low cost, authentic and above all very tasty Thai food. The main focus is on seafood and as it is Southern Thailand a lot of the dishes are spicy.

Each time we have eaten we have tried something different on the menu and after 3 visits still haven't scratched the surface.. The food is always well presented, the ingredients are as fresh as can be and the service is quick.

We have already began to lament the fact that we will not be able to get Thai food anywhere remotely as good as this in The UK.

Highly recommended.

“Must try in Samui!”
Reviewed April 19, 2013

Near Lamai beach/ 15mins taxi from Chaweng beach? Looking for authentic Thai seafood dishes? Where even the locals eat and recommend? Fresh swimming seafood, spoil for choices, great sea view and plenty of tables to choose? This is the place! The best Thai food in Samui during entire 5 days stay so far! Not even other 5-star restaurants.

“Good seafood but becareful what you order!”
Reviewed April 18, 2013

One of our best meal in our Samui trip, variety of food, especially the local Thai curries, cater for local taste, so if you can't eat spicy food, you better specify that not spicy. And you should beware when order seafood that does not come with price tag on the menu, because that could be very expensive, in our case, one of the dish we ordered is Stir fried prawn with Tamarind sauce (3pcs) and we are quite shock to find out that this dish cost 780 THB (each prawn cost 260 THB), the prawn is not big, and for this price is definitely overprice!
