not recommended. this style of afternoon, evening clubs can for sure do better than Beach Republic.
Quite expensive, with average service, for me too loud music.
The setting was very beauitiful, with the beach and sea in Lamai to look at.
The pool was nice as well, but overall disappointing.

I wasn't really expecting much food wise from a funky chill out beach lounge and bar, but the the food was absolutely delicious plus excellent service. My friends and I really enjoyed the Sunday Brunch (a must! we were stoked at the cool crowd) and came back to try the regular menu on another day. The menu is varied, offers Thai and Western favourites, as well as a good selection for veggies (healthy grub). We loved it there and highly recommend it to all food lovers especially those who appreciate uber cool surroundings and music.

Its a quiet hidden resort situated in lamai along the beach in a perfect location with direct access to the beach if you choose to go swimming. Once you enter you feel you are truly in paradise. With the smiles of the friendly staff from the moment you enter the resort and the breathe taking ocean views which are just simply stunning. I just fell inlove with this resort. The staff are very friendly and will make sure you get truly looked after customer service is high priority with them and will make sure they do what they can to make your stay a truly wonderful experience which you will remember for a very long time. The comfortable sunbeds near the pool and tehe little jacuzzi's are just amazing and so relaxing. Waking up and going down for breakfast with picture perfect ocean views only a few metres away whilst eating breakfast lunch or dinner. Breakfast here is fantastic from museli to omelettes to fresh fruit and juices pretty much has everything you would want. The lunch and dinner menu are also fantastic and offer a large variety ranging from salads to fish dishes to chicken, vegetarian options seafood i must point out is unreal!! Very fresh!!! All the foods are very fresh and juices and drinks are just made to perfection. You have an option of dining under cover or outside closer to the beach swimming pool area. The villas are just stunning and very modern with brand new furniture. The villas with your own plunge pool is just amazing. From your bedroom only a step away from the swimming open the doors and off you go for your early morning swim direct access from your actual bedroom. Very spacious!! Very impressive. The day spa what can i say truly world class standard up there with the best. From the moment you walk in you are in heaven. You can be assured that you will be feeling very relaxed after you have finished with a thai massage. The best thai massage i have ever experienced. There are various of massages you can choose from. Once you finish you then are given ginger tea which will sooth you and make you very relaxed. There are different oils which you can choose from for the massage before they begin. The gym and steam room are fantastic. The gym is air cond which is great and the change rooms are excellent standard very very clean. They also have sunday sessions which is a brunch with a wide variety of buffet from everything you can think off with a live DJ as well playing the latest music fantastic atmosphere i really loved it. . The resort overall is immaculate. I rate this resort very highly and its not too over crowded just perfect for anyone wanting to get away from it all, escape from the hussle and bussle in this secluded location. I really do love it and the staff are just adorable and really make you feel at home. I will def be back vey soon.
So just sit back relax watch the different colours of the water change in the ocean and i can assure that the staff will take good care of you. From outstanding world class food to friendly smiling happy staff, to yumm cocktails, clean and practical resort facilities and brand new villas with some offering private pools i can assure you will have a memorable stay at the Beach Republic!! I cant highly reccommend this fantastic resort you will leave with lots of great memories!!!! Thanks guys for making my first trip to Thailand Koh Samui a truly memorable one!!! Kindest

i booked a villa at Beach republic because i was attracted to the privacey of having my own private infinity pool in my own walled garden. Their are not many hoetls if any on samui offering these private facilities where you can spend ten days wearing nothing at all, getting a great tan on and without offending anyone with my man boobs in a public pool! briliiant! Down on the beach 20 seconds from my villa is a cool as hell set-up, looks and feels like a ritzy beach club in St Tropez, massive pool, great cocktail service - lots of good, well informed staff, service is five star and it looks like a theyve employed a hot crowd from a magazine shoot!! The poolside beachclub is available to anyone who rocks up from the beach, no charge and no need to be a resident which helps keep the vibe not too stuffy or too exclusive - The food is a nice mix of european style tapas, authentic thai and as a foodie who eats out 5 days a week in some of melborunes best, for the fact that its on an island, i was really surprised by the quality, presentation and offering - the foods great - try the lamb chili con carne with crispy 8 inch tortillia strips or the BBQ seafood plate with phukett lobster - or the gigantic lamb shank in massaman curry sauce with potatos - at around $25 australian dollars, seriously good value - plus i was able to order a very good , under-priced bottle of french rose from a massive, educated wine list. i would never order wine from a Samui resturtant as its usually over-priced crap you would wash your car with - but they seem to have got it really right here - i was also stunned to find a really nice selection of cuban cigars on offer - again, at less than id pay at my reg shop in melbourne - don't know how they do it, lets hope they dont see this review before im back again! But the best bit about this place is the staff - its almost like ive had a team of butlers at times - theyve done everything from pumping up my pool infatable to driving to macdonalds at 2am and grabbing me some drunk junk to fixing my head in the mornings with asprins and an amazing breakfast. Finally! Service! i do not identify with the negative reviews about this joint, all i got was brilliance!

Go republic!!
