“Crack, food and drink”
Reviewed August 18, 2012

It’s your typical (or tropical) Irish bar but with the extras you can only get in Thailand, services with a smile brought to whole new level.
The tittle says it all, last night they had a DJ while the football was on, but most nights they have live music.

“Good music, reasonable atmosphere”
Reviewed August 9, 2012

The band that they have is the main attraction, without a doubt. Of all the bars in Lamai that we frequented, we have to say that Shamrock was the most reliably patronised one, followed by the Outback. The only criticism of the band is that there repertoire does repeat, but as there is a large throughput of people, if you don't go more than once or twice you won't notice it.

They have two free pool tables, which they allowed our boys to play on to their hearts content, so we were able to relax and let them get on with it. The menu is pretty good too, with a decent mix of western and Thai stuff.

The only reason it doesn't get the full 5 stars is that one of the staff was not particulary pleasant in dealing with a relatively minor issue. The boys broke two glasses by knocking them over with the pool cues, entirely their fault. If I had been politely approached and this pointed out to me, I would have been more than happy to pay for the broken glasses. However, to be fixed with a nasty stare and be told in a rather low and menacing voice that if any more glasses were broken I'd have to pay was not, in my opinion, the way to deal with it.

This staff member aside, all the rest of the staff were very good, and Shamrock's is worth your time, especially if you like listening to cover bands
