“Junonia - Equal best restaurant in Playa de Santiago”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2013

4 of us ate dinner here in March 2013. Two courses plus wine came to about 100 Euros.
Junonia and Restaurante Tagoror are the best 2 restaurants in Playa de Santiago in my opinion, although not up to the best you would find in some other, more sophisticated resorts in other tourist destinations. We had fish and it was good. The table on the terrace had a great view and it was too chilly in the evening. The service was slow and the waitress apologised, explaining that they were short of one waiter. It didn't matter to us as we weren't in a hurry. We will eat here again when we go back to La Gomera. Reservations recommended.

“Excellent!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2013

I loved this restaurant - they had a good range of items on the menu, including some great fish dishes. We visited twice during our stay and had a good experience both times. There was a warm welcome and speedy service with a smile. We were shown a range of fresh fish on a platter for us to choose from and we could decide how we would like it cooked. I chose the seabass which was superb and the fish croquette starter is also highly recommended. This restaurant is good value for money and in my opinion, the best in Playa Santiago. Well worth a visit!

“Nice Food & Services”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2013

We got the last table outside on our visit and admittedly had to wait a little while for both our courses, which wasn't a massive issue for us as it was a gorgeous evening and the wine was cold and delicious. The very efficient waiter did apologise at the end of the meal saying they were short staffed but to be honest the quality of the food and wine would make me return to Junonia. We went late in our holiday and had stuffed mushrooms (huge but too nice to leave any) and pizza, so I would like to return to try something more adventurous next time.

“Definitely worth visiting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 7, 2013

We enjoyed our meal sitting on the balcony. The catch of the day was excellent and not expensive. You don't expect flourishes in this simple resort, but that's the charm of La Gomera. The service was very professional and friendly. Reservation recommended. Just under 70 euros for two people - three courses plus wine and water. We'd definitely go again.
