We visited this family run hotel with a group of friends and had a fantastic time, they were exceptionally friendly, the food was excellent and the service second to none. We took part in the Quad Biking and Kayaking, both of which were well organised and the two guys who run the activities ensured that we got the most from the trips and enjoyed them to their full. It was great value and I look forward to going back.

I booked all of the rooms at La Mariposa for a group of friends, and we went Kayaking and Quad Biking. From start to finish everyone bar none had the most fantastic time. The owner and his family make everyone feel very welcome and could not do enough for us. The two guys who did our Quad Bike and Kayak tours were very professional but also we all had a great laugh and the most fantastic trip to the lake and on the lake. There was a band playing in the evening and they were superb. All in all it was fantastic value for money and we are all going to go back again and hopefully try some of their other activities.
A huge thank you to all at La Mariposa who made our weekend so special.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 5 which was a huge room but they have a fantastic family room upstairs.

Just returned from here for the second time, All i can say is "FANTASTIC". Done the quad tour last year and went on the buggy tour this time with my wife and 2 kids age 5 and 13. Excellent value and you get to swim in the Gebas lake.also this time, my son and i went on the river rafting tour which was also fantastic. you could not wish for any better hospitality than you get from Mark, Sam, Tom and cady. The tour guides and the rest of the hotel staff are also very friendly. The hotel food is also great and good value. One thing is for sure, we will be going back.

This family run hotel offers excellent value. Our room was a good size with a fridge and tea making facility. Air conditioning was apparently available at an additional cost but we did not need it, the room had a large opening window and ceiling fan. We had a very good evening meal with wine at a reasonable cost. The continental breakfast was plentiful and included. They have apparently lost there booking site with "Little Hotels" because they offer sporting activities, a shame.

Room Tip: Mid-week bookings may suit those looking for tranquillity as week-ends may be busier with the activities.

We live just outside Totana only about 30 minutes drive away from this little hotel. We went there for a menu del dia a week ago and were pleasantly surprised by the location and quality of the food.
While there we saw details of a special offer on the following Saturday....evening meal, a room for the night, live entertainment and breakfast for a bargain price for two. As it was our 41st wedding anniversary we thought we'd go there for a different night out without one of us having to drive home.
The room was clean and spacious with fridge, tea making, satellite tv and en suite. Not luxurious but remember this is not a 5 star hotel. It also did not have air con.
The pool was small but pleasant and not busy as other more active guests were out doing quad biking, kayaking, mountain biking etc....the hotel specialises in outdoor sporting activities in the Sierra Espuas.
Evening drinks on the terrace were pleasant and the four course meal was excellent followed by entertainment delivered by The Cas Band who were superb musicians and played for 3 hours.
Breakfast was continental...out on the terrace. Again plain and simple...very pleasant.
All in all a very pleasant night out at excellent value. There are only 5 rooms here and these nights are popular so booking is essential.
The only member of the family we met was Tom....who seems to do everything from running the bar and restaurant to booking in guests and arranging trips out etc. He was extremely pleasant and efficient and made us very welcome and comfortable. He told us he was having a 6 month break in Peru soon.....the family will miss his expertise badly.

Room Tip: Booking is essential
