“Contemporary flavours and country chic”
Reviewed October 24, 2013

The Stanford Table has reopened with a fresh menu and whole new lease on life. The atmosphere is considerably warmer and more relaxed, encouraging diners to linger longer over the meal. The interior features hanging plants, painting by local artists and an array of cute country 'designer' gifts to take home. Chef Nikki Miles is creating culinary artistry, infusing flavours with fresh local produce to produce a smorgasbord of delicious tapas. The thai chicken salad is divine, their 'dips' (quirky twists on hummus and roasted aubergine) are fabulous so order an array for the table to experience everything. It felt like being back in Barcelona. Fully licensed, you can pair your tapas with wines from the area... this is country living at it's best. Finish off your meal with something sweet from Marian's decadent cake table. A great place to meet with friends for a long lazy Sunday lunch.

“Best pork belly ever”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

This was a great experience. Very very good food and service. Exceptional pork belly dish, but all three of us really enjoyed everything we had. This was one of the two best dinners of our vacation in South Africa. We liked the charming old building with its simple decor and enjoyed talking to the chef/owner. She has created a lovely place with excellent food which is high quality but unpretentious. Would definitely return.

“Great food, great value!”
Reviewed March 18, 2013

This was our first visit to this restaurant (accompanied by my parents for their third visit) and we'll certainly be back! The food was great...prawns in Pernod, fishcake for starters and pork belly, duck salad for main courses; lemon tart, 'almond friand' for dessert...all very tasty and excellent value. This restaurant is a welcome addition to the Stanford scene...bring your own wine (no licence yet and no corkage), great food at this quality and price should make this a first choice!
