Fabulous fabulous lunch experience!
Stunning gruyere (Locally made cheese) soufflé, followed by melt in the mouth mushroom risotto......
Delightfully entertaining and attentive service, all culminating in an unforgettable day.

I had lunch here last week with a group of 9 girlfriends and we all thought it was fantastic. The menu is not terribly extensive (choice of about 4 or 5 dishes for main course) but the chicken I had was delicious and those who had the kudu gave it rave reviews. There was also a mushroom risotto vegetarian option. unfortunately we were pressed for time so couldn't have a starter or a pudding, however the soufflé looked amazing. We sat outside on a pretty terrace with lovely views. I bought some granadilla (passion fruit) curd from their pantry to take home and it is excellent. Havercrofts is a real find and I hope to return soon.

If you want to enjoy a magnificent meal and views of the countryside and Klein River mountains - mixed with some British humour - pay Havercrofts, just outside Stanford, a visit!

The bubbly host, Innes, will make you feel at home from the moment you've entered the small country barn/restaurant with its simplistic decor. The food is superb, tasty and served in an unpretentious way. We settled for a three course Sunday lunch which we thoroughly enjoyed.

Thank you once again for a great experience!

What a fabulous find. Havercroft's is an absolute must for anyone visiting anywhere vaguely near the Stanford area. Unfortunately time only allowed a quick lunch en route, but the food was absolutely delicious, the scenery is stunning and Innes makes the entire experience complete. We will be back!!

What can I say - we had the most delicious three course lunch - from the signature Kidney starter to amazing mains and superb fudge ice Cream and Profiteroles - all prepared and looked after by Brydon and the ever entertaining Innes. Having waited about two years to finally get in the experience met all expectations and more!

WILL CERTAINLY BE BACK
