“Karpathos- Amopi Bay.”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

We are an elderly couple who have just returned from a two week stay at Hotel Agean Village.
The Hotel is very nive with excellent service.
If you have difficulties walking you must ask for a room on the same level as the Reception. We stayed on the lower floor and had 60 steps to climb to get to the Reception or the Restaurant.
It is also difficult to get to the nearest beach, but within a walking distance of about 10 munutes you have a very nice beach, but remember your bathing shoes.
The staff was very friendly and the food in the restaurant was excellent.
All in all a very nice stay on a lovely island in a very nice Hotel.
Thanks to Thom, Sharona, Daniel and all the other persons who gave us a great time.

Room Tip: If you have difficulties climbing stairs, be sure to ask for a room on the same level as the Recepti...

Great hotel with excellent facilities and a lovely sea view. Friendly staff and a nice, clean pool area. Friendly and helpful staff. Good international style restaurant.

The regular rooms (2 persons) are a bit cramped with very small windows and rock hard beds. The A/C was difficult to adjust so it was either ON (freezing) or OFF. However, the outside veranda is very nice. They probably have other larger and nicer rooms - we went on a package trip and probably ended up with the least fancy rooms.

A steep 5 min walk takes you to the nearest beach just below the hotel: small, beautiful and rocky. In our opinion the best beach in Ammopi.

Overall, I'd like to stay there again but I'd want to check the room first AND try the beds...

Room Tip: Higher floors have better view and less A/C unit noise Check that A/C in room is adjustable Rock h...

My wife and I are 33 and 42 yrs, and we wanted a vacation without our kids. For us, that meant silence, beach life, romantic scenery, nice rooms, poolside bar. This is what we got. The nearest beach is almost impossible to reach for kid-bringing-families....GREAT ;-) Water is so clear we had to get scuba gear :-) GREAT. Staff in reception attentive and smiling. Same goes for bar, cafe/restaurant as well as the cleaning staff. GREAT. The shop at the hotel sells beer and other neccessary items cheap. GREAT. The hotel is a 10 min. taxi ride away from the friendly city Pigadia if you want to spend a beautiful evening there, or sign up for a beach experience trip by boat. GREAT.

(What could be better? Well, if you look for pool parties, if you can't walk down a hill to the beach and up another to a near nice restaurant....book some place else.)

We loved our week in hot 'n' sunny Karpathos. Recommended!!

The hotel is located just by a small, charming beach, and we had a great view. Friendly staff, resepsionists and waiters. Clean room. Nice pool, with a small area for kids. Tasty food in the restaurant (Try the tomato and mozzarella salad + tsatziki and bread for lunch!)
We enjoyed our stay, and would come again if we were to return to Karpathos.

Room Tip: Our room was a small charming room with a good bathroom and a small kitchen area. Ground terrace, an...

Hotel was impeccably clean and was very convenient to beautiful beaches. The food was exceptional and the overall hospitality was made us feel like family. Manoli and his staff were professional and personal. They always had a warm hello and were very accommodating. It was very difficult to leave this beautiful hotel but we are very much looking forward to our return. We would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and embracing place to relax

The hotel had an excellent, quiet location, like an amfi down to the sea. Our room had a beautiful view over the sea, from the huge balcony and the sunrise was stunning. The room was fairly big, good bathroom and housekeeping was fine. But the 14" TV was outdated, please get something better. The staff were very friendly and everybody spoke excellent English. The a la carte breakfast at the beautiful terrace was good, although the selection of meat and cheese always was the same. The restaurant was superb, the Swedish cook made some excellent dinners, hopefully the hotel will continue with this level in the future. One of the best things with the location was the beautiful pebble beach, just 5 min. walk away. I recommend a rented car, although you could take the local bus to Pigaldi.
