Located on a small hill at somewhat isolated spot with beautiful view. The owner speaks English but is able to swing moods from friendly to nervous using loud voice when talking to guests. Hot water was shut off daily at 8pm. At garden door that led to the nearby beach there was barb wire stretched at neck height requiring to bow when passing unless you wanna get hurt. The reception includes mini-market which has only few things inside and is highly overpriced, so you will have to walk 20 minutes for better options. Not recommended.

Average apartments, with beautifull sea view. It is clean. Owner speak english, lady who is taking care of rooms speaks russian. But if you visit in august, like me, you will not be able to use the balcony because of the very strong wind. It is situated in the small place Ammoopi, about 7km from Karpathos town. Roud is very tricky until you accomodate... because it is like that on the whole island. There is a small improvized mini market by the reception, where you can by neccesary things if urgent... Accomodation is near to 2 very nice beaches Ammoopi...

The location is superb, excellent sea view, and wonderful, hospitable, caring, generous people. We prepared most of our food, and the landlord organised bread for each morning. The studious were spacious and clean, towels clean every day, you can cook your food in the kitchen, two burners but no oven. There is a fridge and dishes... in a word, very sufficiently enough
Amoopi is a tourist resort, nothing special regarding the local villages, but exceptional service and restaurants and a wonderful sandy beach.
We rented a car at Avra and it was a good idea to be mobile all the time. We covered more than 500km. Went to most of the beaches and almost every village. A visit to Olympia is a memorable event. Other memorable places: Achta, Agios Nicolaos (beaches), Karpathos (capital, they also call it Pagia). Karpathos is a discovery!

Room tip: You choose these studios because all of them are with a memorable sea view.

Great location (outside the main village, but still an easy walk to beaches, restaurants & minimarkets), spectacular view, and wonderful, hospitable, generous people. Very reasonably priced and well worth it, I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Amoopi or Karpathos. Comfortable, spacious, quiet and very clean studios have everything you need to cook (two electric burners--no oven--, minifridge, pots & pans, kitchen utensils); a spacious balcony (table, chairs, clothes line); good lighting for cooking and reading at night; windows with mosquito netting; and fast and reliable wifi. TV and a/c. The closest swimming place is just across the grounds and down a few steps and sand beaches and good snorkeling all close at hand. But the best part of staying here are Vassilis and Ala ( and their little dog Susa (I'm a cat person, but I couldn't help but succumb to her charms ;-)) . They made us feel welcome, invited us for drinks, cooked for us, brought us delicious figs from their tree and even gave us some of their sea salt to bring back home. We would definitely come back here.

We had a wonderful holiday in this great hotel!
Nice owner and the hotel had a shop where you could buy food, water and drinks.
Beautiful sea view from all apartments!
A quiet area away from cars and noise.
The closest beach was just 50m away where we had the whole beach to ourselves. Loved this place!
