“Good touristic restaurant”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2013 via mobile

Pretty place near the sea where you can eat traditional Tunisian food adapted for the taste of tourists.
I recommend the fish soup as a starter, grilled fish for the main and a fruit salad to finish.

“Overpriced tourist place”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 30, 2013

The food is not great, nor the service, but the prices are. We left after the starters. You won't get sick eating here, and the food is ok, but you will get at least the same for a better price somewhere else. The location is nice by the sea but the whole boat terrace seating outdoors feels a bit unauthentic.

“Beautiful setting, average main, lovely dessert, relatively expensive”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2013 via mobile

I dined here on the recommendation of a few taxi drivers, but think this was because it is one of the most expensive restaurants in the area. The setting is wonderful. All the outdoor seating is on a ship. A great deal of investment on decor. The food main was average but the fondant dessert was lovely. The entertainment was good due to it's variety. During the hour l was there, probably saw/heard 5 different acts ranging from traditional music to belly dancers. Unfortunately the service was less than standard. I asked for the dessert menu and got the bill, an easy mistake to make, if you're not paying attention! Thus far the most expensive meal l have paid for in Djerba but if you fancy a unique setting, tasty dessert and lighter wallet give it a go. (92 tnd for two people)

“First likely a mistake / Premier mais probablement une erreur”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2013

Well we went July 1srt 13, the waiters were pretty good, but the food ... I've ordered a "Filet de Boeuf" and a "Royal couscous", the sauce had not really any taste. The French fries ... Well I could not finish it, I tend to think the oil was very old and for the couscous, the meat was old for sure: chicken and calfskin, just warm up. In addition I took "Haroun Kefta" I can swear it was everything except Kefta. Well I wonder if someone else is going to share my fate.

It's hard to believe this restaurant has the best rate. Other wise I don't know what to say.

Last but not least, the invoice was pretty high: 75 dinars.

Very nice location.

“Good tunisian food with some tourist entertainement”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 27, 2013

Ok, you will not be "amazed" nor "surprised" by the food, as it is pure classical tunisian food, rather well executed.

The decor is spectacular, facing the water with high ceiling. Service is consistent, but a bit too fast, as they try to accomodate all guests as if your were part of the tour buses who are on a schedule.

And the music with bellydancing (that your are "forced" to join for a traditional dance) provides some entertainement.

Do not hesitate to go. Very honest choice for the price.
