This restaurant combines the best of traditional Cretan village cuisine with a few extra refinements and it was our favourite of the several restaurants we tried this year in this town. I particularly enjoyed their meat balls in ouzo sauce and my wife enjoyed the pork schnitzel with mushroom sauce. Rather disapproved of by the owners of our apartment nearby, this restaurant serves the traditional complimentary chilled local raki at the beginning of the meal rather than at the end and we found a small taste was all we needed! The tableware, the service and the ambiance were all a cut above the competition, and to our surprise, our bills were no higher - excellent value for money.
