If you like trying authentic local cuisine this is definitely the place for you! The menu is entirely in Italian so bring your guide book and just try everything you can. We did and it was great. All the food is well priced - even cheap - and the local wine might as well be free for how much you pay! Probably not the best restaurant for a picky eater, and the inside setting is not the most special ever, but the food and friendly service more than makes up for it!

Having stayed at the hotel opposite (relais il canalicchio) we decided to give this restaurant a go on our penultimate night. We were welcomed by a polite and cheerful young man and shown to a table on the outside terrace. Reading other reviews on here I can only re-iterate what has already been said. Great food at unbelievable prices. A litre of good quality house wine produced from their own vineyard for 5euros? To good to be true well no. Yes its not a vintage but for the price is very very good. The waiter spoke good english and was more than happy to help my girlfriend who is vegetarian choose her food. We came back Saturday night and enjoyed our meals again both visits being under 50 euros for drinks 2courses each and water. On the second night I asked if they had limoncello and was quickly given a shot. The man who had served us both nights wasnt going to charge us for this extra so I gave him a 10 euro tip. He protested it was too much but for the level of service and food I think was right. It was unmatched apart from the waiters of our hotel but not the food there. To sum up go here if you want honest food that is simple, and tends to rely upon the quality of ingredients to do the talking not a smudge of this and that which looks pretty. Yes its not rosette standard presentation but when Im on holiday in a country I want to eat what the locals eat not italian trying to be english michelin star. Thanks to all the staff for such a memorable couple of nights and a seriously good tiramisu.

Like most fellow reviewers, I was staying opposite at the Relais il Canalicchio and visited this place a couple of times. Food was fine, if unremarkable, but the restaurant is spectacularly dreary inside: miserable lighting and a blaring TV. The outside terrace might get 4 stars!

Very nice and welcoming restaurant owned by a family. Very nice hosts! The wine is made by theirselfs, 5 Euro for a litre of very good house wine. And the pasta ans lasagna is fantastic. Real italian food and for two we never paid more than 40 Euro. Excellent, very recommendable!

We stayed at the Relais il Canalicchio for nine nights in June 2013, and ate at the La Locanda del Colle for seven evenings. The quality of the food was first class, the veal steaks and roast goose were excellent, as was the mushroom and truffle risotto, and the pannacotta had just the right amount of wobble! The wine was excellent value at 5 euros a litre, and came from their own vineyard. They also produced their own olive oil. A great place to eat! Well done Momma, Poppa, Daniello and sister.
