we ate here on 3 occasions during our 2-week holiday, and were never disappointed with our meal. The food was good, especially the starter platter of local meats & cheeses, with a great number of the ingredients coming from the owner's garden! we would also highly recommend the traditional sardinian set menu (which includes suckling pig!) which is only available by pre-booking. The only thing which spoilt the experience slightly was certain inconsiderate diners smoking during the meal, but that was hardly the fault of the owner!
What really elevated the restaurant from good to great was the service - in particular from the head waiter/owner, a Belgian man fluent in 7 different languages! He was very sincere & when explaining what made up each dish it was obvious he had put a lot of love into the menu. One thing that did come across was he was very concientious that you were having the best possible experience - he did explain that he had received quite a scathing review from someone on this website which had obviously affected him deeply. He came across as a man who had quite simply put his heart & soul into his restaurant, and the greatest compliment we could pay him is to say that it was not a wasted effort, and would highly recommend his restaurant to anyone visiting the area!
