Have just returned from a wonderful week at Hotel Galeazzi in Garbone. The hotel had everything we needed, the Inghams staff could not do more for us and the food was fantastic. Perfect for those who want an easy and hassle free week in stunning Lake Garda!

We can only give praise to this excellent hotel and its fantastic staff. The food is out of this world, the location is excellent and the cleanliness wonderful. The staff, making special mention of Roseanna the manager, Caroline, Carolina, Max, Amy and Lara to mention a few are the best team we have ever met. Travelling around the lake area is very straightforward and our introduction to a first time in Italy made very easy by The Inghams rep Elaine.
We would highly recommend both the hotel and this area of Lake Garda. The only downside was we only had a week here - probably a good thing for our waistlines!!!

We returned from Hotel Galeazzi a few hours ago after a 4 night short break. 2 adults and a 12 year old. We are travel agents for ski but this was a private break as we had never been to Lake Garda before and really wanted to find out more. And we did. The Lake etc itself is great, beautiful and so much to do. Galeazzi now run by Inghams and a very experienced team. They did a great job in their first week open since taking over. If you get a chance go this season as i don't think it will be this price very long. Pool so clean and pool area lovely (little road noise) Lots of public areas in the hotel and has an 'Italian Lakes - step back in time' - feel about it. Classy, spacious, elegant. Food superb and wine very plentiful at dinner. Good hot water and housekeeping apart from a bit of dust under our bed! Slept like a log. Manager Rosanna - been in the business forever and it shows when she works the dining room in the evening. Elaine the rep - great welcome meeting and very helpful at all times. General feeling from other guests was a very good one. Yes we would go back - even this year as we had no time for Verona or Gardaland this time. Only managed Venice and Sirmione and Salo. May even try to get back this summer. I would recommend for all age groups and families with kids over 10 years really.. PS Verona airport so easy and the transfer should be considered part of a great trip as the views are amazing. Weather was great with few storms

Room Tip: We stayed in 310 - triple. Pool and side lake view. A little road noise but did not disturb us at all If you want very quiet ask for a back corner room as you can still see the lake but further from the road

I just spent the night there before driving to Rome the next day. Only good point I found to this hotel is that the lake is very close, about a 2 minutes walk. The Town center is very pleasant especially during the evening. Concerning the hotel, it's quite old fashioned, the rooms doesn't quite feel like clean and if you have something to ask to the staff, you're disturbing them. It's also close to the main road of Salò... Try an hotel in Limone Sul Garda if you're going to lake Garda.

My wife and I had a week at the hotel in late September. We were half board which turned out to be a very good decision as there were very few restaurants to visit in the evening nearby.
Don't be mistaken into thinking the hotel is in Salo as it is a long walk outside and along a very busy road.
Our room (306) was fine although the bathroom was well in need of a refurbishment.
The bathroom had a jacuzzi but a no shower? I think they should scrap the jacuzzi and install a decent shower.
Overall though the room was fine with a settee and the double bed was in fact two singles pushed together but they were very comfortable.
The food was excellent and the staff were very helpful, courteous and friendly.
Overall we would have probably scored the hotel with a 4 or maybe a 4.5 but.................
The ROAD NOISE IS UNBEARABLE!
We are heavy sleepers but even with copious amounts of the local vino we got little or no sleep during that week. We found ourselves counting down the days and hours until we would be home and away from that noise which was a real shame.
We loved Italy and Lake Garda, we have eaten nothing but Italian cuisine since our return trying to ape our time there but I'm afraid our memory is scarred by that road noise it is seriously bad. A constant flow of traffic in both directions including ambulances with sirens blaring travelling to the hospital up the road. We do not exaggerate when we say it was like being right by the MI at Luton at 7am on a Monday morning or the north circular multiplied by 3!
I feel really bad emphasizing this blemish on what was otherwise a very nice and friendly hotel but I think it is time that the owners, Blu Hotels, got the glazing sorted out and upgraded to triple glazing and then make sure that the aircon really does work. Thank goodness that the nights were chilly so we could sleep with the patio doors (two sets) shut!
Don't book a lake view room, a room at the back MIGHT be quieter but I'm not sure.

Sorry hotel staff but this IS a big issue that needs to be resolved.
Loved Italy, Loved Lake Garda, Loved the food.
I hope this helps.

Tripadvisor reviewers will be interested to know that Inghams, the UK’s leading Lakes & Mountains holiday specialists, have taken over the management and day to day operation of the Hotel Galeazzi in Gardone.

The hotel will now be operated on the same lines as Inghams’ other ‘Chalet Hotels’ in Austria, France, Italy & Switzerland, with all the added value extras, such as a free boat excursion, daily lunch packs, free afternoon tea & cake, free tea & coffee all day and free wine with dinner, that have made them so successful. The excellent value of our ‘Half-Board PLUS’ cuisine, with a choice of menu and included drinks, is coupled with the attentive service of our own Inghams Hotel team.

Take a look at the Chalet Hotel Sapinière for reviews on an Inghams Chalet Hotel.
