I am Turkish. This may be the worst hotel I've ever seen. It's too far to the sea (600-700m) and the beach that you can use is terrible. The company has another Hotel on the other side of the road next to the beach, the foods probably come from there which are, to me, selected from what is left unused the day before. The hotel is also seriously dirty. Full of Russians. A small pool, many bees, unpolite staff (only to Turkish I guess) etc. Not for the British..and not for the Turkish..

We've just come back from spending two weeks at Park Claros Hotel. Apart from us there was only one more British couple staying there each week, the rest were mainly Russian with some German.

The staff spoke Turkish, Russian, and German, but no English making it very difficult to communicate with anyone. Most of the staff did do their best but it was limiting with only facial expressions and gestures.

The welcome meeting was supposed to be at 3pm but no rep appeared, at 3.30pm we asked the reception staff to ring the rep to see what was happening but were told we'd have to ring from our rooms and be charged for the call. The rep eventuallly appeared at 3.45pm. There were no welcome drinks, and no useful information given ie no mention of any available trips. When the next British couple turned up on our second week, the rep told them there were no more British at the hotel (obviously forgotten we existed). There was no written information in English available at all, either in the rooms, or amongst the 12 Russian information folders.

The hotel had no facility for posting postcards, you had to get a bus or taxi to the next town and find the post office.

There were no food or snacks available after breakfast at 10am until lunch at 12.30pm, and after lunch at 2.30pm until 4pm when the ice cream arrived. Ice cream was only available at 4pm, allegedly to 5pm but in reality it was until the end of the queue, so you had to join the queue in order to get one. When you did get to the front of the queue (with many Russians pushing in) you only got half a scoop on a good day but generally it was a quarter of a scoop. At 5pm some dry sponge cake, and some tasteless Turkish biscuits appeared for afternoon snacks.

The all inclusive drinks were very limited your alcoholic choice was Beer, vodka, gin, brandy, vermont, reikie (local pernot), and some pretty rough wine. No cocktails unless you paid for them. There was a tea and coffee machine but no milk available apart from some coffeemate equivalent powder.

The entertainment each night was a disco by the pool with a mixture of Russian and British songs. Twice a week a couple turned up and sang live, but only had one repertoire of songs so by the fourth time we'd heard them it was getting pretty repetative.

There was no shop on site, and nowhere locally to buy any British newspapers, magazines, or books.

The air conditioning was on a timer activated by your room key when you were in your room, it only came on 7-9pm (when you were having your evening meal), and 11pm-2 am, the rest of the time you had room temperature air pumped through the system.

On the plus side, the pool and grounds were really good, though the waterslides were on a timer and could only be used for two hours in the morning and afternoon. The Russians didn't save sunbeds with towels and even cleared them when they went for lunch. The food was ok if you didn't have too much of a refined palate, though after two weeks the breakfasts in particular were a little repetative.

A good hotel and resort if you are Russian but not for the British.

We have just returned from a week at this hotel (4th to 11th june). We have been to Turkey several times before, staying in Olu Deniz, but thought that we should try somewhere a little bit different. That was certainly the case at the Park Claros hotel.
When we arrived at 1.30am on the Monday there was no one to take our cases to the room. When we got to our room it was like a sauna. The air conditioning was not working so we immediately complained about it and were told it would be fixed. Two days later, after several attempts, we finally got "Technical Services" to come and fix the problem. When I say fix, it was not air conditioning as we know it, but more like cool air being blown through the system. The hotel has different times for when the air con comes on and they seemed to change the times at will. It was certainly not on when you needed it most. After 2 sleepless nights, we had suffered enough and asked the rep for a transfer but were told that the Claros' sister hotel across the road was fully booked, but we could move to Side (2 hours away) if we paid an extra £124.00 and also paid taxi fares of £50.00 each way. We decided to stick it out because we didn't know what the alternative would be like.
The hotel is ranked as a 4 star property. It is really no more than a 2 star and that's being generous. The information about the hotel in the welcome pack states that the hotel has a private beach. It is actually shared by several hotels and consists of 2 rows of dilapidated sun loungers and tired looking canopies. There were no toilet or showering facilities. It is not an appealing beach area in the slightest. If you look to your right you will see all the private beach areas of other hotels but cannot use them.
The hotel has 114 rooms. When we were there we were one of only 3 English couples. The rest were Russians. You would have thought that the Russians hadn't eaten for weeks before their holiday. The amount of food most consumed was unbelievable. Starters, main course, sweets would all be selected at once and when fruit appeared platefuls of apricots, greengages and handfuls of oranges would be grabbed and taken to their table and what wasn't eaten would be thrown into bags!
The hotel staff were generally uninterested in the guests and would hardly ever even acknowledge you after thanking them for taking your plate away. They could hardly speak English and consequently we ended up with the wrong drinks on more than one occasion.
The pool bar was very unwelcoming with mainly empty shelves looking at you. The other bar is a serving hatch in the restaurant and the third bar was just an empty alcove. We were told there was a minibar in the room: in reality it had 2 small bottles of water in it.
The information room is laughable. We counted 14 Russian info books on the shelf. The only English info was the name and phone number of our rep and the coach pick up times for going home. The food choice and quality was abysmal. One evening we had to wait 35 minutes for a table and then when we went to get our food there was hardly any left. We complained to the chefs but all they did was shrug their shoulders.
We were looking forward to a quiet last day by the pool but oh no! Early afternoon a group of about twenty German and Turkish students appeared and took over the pool and water slides generally creating a nuisance.
It was an awful holiday. I don't know why Airtours even consider sending Brits to this hotel. It is dire. The sooner they withdraw this hotel the better it will be. It was only because the two other English couples, Paul, Bernie, Martin and Lynn were there to speak with, that the holiday was only just bearable.

We would not recommend this hotel to anybody.

Went to the park claros with some members of the family. For a much needed holiday, after travelling for about 12 hours we arrived at the park claros in the early hours of the morning.Nice of them to leave the hot drinks machine on, no milk though.Got up for breakfast we were starving a nice peice of toast would have gone down nicely the choice was cold boiled eggs scrambled egg with so many different veg in i dont now were to start to discribe it,forget the toast they dont have a toaster the eggs or salad were the choice of breakfast we had the whole 2 weeks of our stay . Lunch well that was even better 11 of our 14 days we got spaggetti with some sort of red sauce or rice with peppers in , plenty of salad though ( take your salad cream with you they dont have it )
The food left at lunch was served at the main meal either reheated or chopped up and added to a salad. You got a hot meat with your meals which was supposed to be turkey (that was grilled, fried ,stuffed ) that was everyday your deserts now that was even better some jelly like substance that tasted of nothing usally coverd with a different coloured sauce so that we couldn,t tell that it was from the meal before ! lots of oranges though and small sticky pasterys, the pasterys were all covered in syrup all tasting the same (nasty) Now your choice of snacks these started at 12.30 untill 4pm ( thats after 3 days of complaints that we were not getting any ) they were chips and burgers everyday they were not restocked and if you were lucky enough to get any after 1pm they were stone cold they didnt keep them hot ( or even warm ) I will go on to another subject now i dont want to temp anyone to much with the wonderful food ( not ) Hotel and pool were ok apart from a few german people allowing or should i say helping there small child to pee pee in the pool while there were people swimming in it ( do i need to tell you that the toilets were next to the pool ) No entertainment at first but this changed after several complaints to what was supposed to be a disco that was load music , that was played from around 9.30 ish untill 12 midnight they also fetched some singers in whom all sang in german , russian or turkish needless to say us british didnt have a clue what they were singing about so it was up to our rooms to watch the tv advertise the hotel accross the road showing all they had to do, and all the desent food they were eating ( talk about rubbing your nose in it ) Lets go to the beach or should i say rubble track you had to have working mens boots on to get on it and then it would do your feet a favour if you kept them on while at the beach. The beach was roped off and if you dared go onto another part of the beach there were security men there to escort you off their were no toilets or showers at our bit of the beach and the sunbeds were all broken. Now ,Aircon in the hotel rooms ,it wasnt working the rooms were like sweat boxes , the fridges in your room( no fibs ) if you put a bottle of water ar anything in, it came back out very warm needless to say they didn,t work Bedroom window was about 1ft above the bed the window opened inwards and have no child locks on them enableing them to open fully ( child freindly i think not ) The hotel staff had great difficulty understanding anything we asked they just scrugged there shoulders . Our rep to whom all the british were complaining ( approx all ten familys ) he,s another story i dont even want to go there. A good holiday , definately not
