We have stayed here for 10 nights in August 2019. We had expected more from a 4-star hotel, but had a good vacation anyway. What was great: nice clean pool open 7-22, beautiful lake-view from the pool and restaurant, windsurf/watersport center on the beach right in front of the hotel, tasty food for lunch and dinner. What was not so great: limited breakfast choice, veggies and fruit often not fresh (almost overdue), limited choice for lunch and dinner (but what was there, was tasty). Facilities in the kids club broken...hotel old inside, but rooms rennovated (although in cost-saving manner). Loud road in front of the hotel, no real beach, only small stony spots, no shadow, you need to bring seats/sunbeds/umbrella with you. Clear water and not too crowded. We would not come back, neither recommend it to families with kids, but for an active surfing vacation it can be a good value.

Great holiday on the outskirts of Malcesine. We had a hire car so could get about, this hotel would not be ideal if you did not have any transport as it would be a very long walk to Malcesine.

Rooms were nice, staff friendly and helpful and a nice breakfast buffet. We were lucky and had a room over looking the lake. Would recommend this hotel.

I stayed here with a large group. Hotel is a little tired but in a great location to view the lake from the dining room/terrace. We would all love a room with a view and whilst there are such rooms, not all have a view of the lake. However, it's a room for the night!!

The food is plentiful, not gormet but tasty and hot. There was an extensive buffet menu and you are able to try as much of the different dishes as you like. desserts are nothing special but the drinks package makes up for it ( Basically there are 3 soft drinks taps, a beer tap and a white and red wine tap to help yourself from. All drinks were very acceptable). The 3- 4 staff in the dining room were there every morning and every night. They were VERY friendly and work extremely hard. All credit to them, they worked like trojans!

As a previous contributor states, you cannot really walk into Malcesine or any other village so you are a bit stranded without a car ( although we used the frequent bus service, which stops right outside the hotel. Nothing really put me off and i would stay here again. Overall a pleasant stay

Room tip: Overlooking Lake obviously a bonus but not essential

this is a lovely hotel in a lovely location. however if its Malcesine you want to spend your time in don't book here. its 5km, which is either over an hours walk, tho there is a tourist bus that leaves every 15 mins to the hour and one that comes back at every 20 past but the last one is 10:20pm so a tad early or bikes. a taxi offered us 15 euros which I think is a bit much and apparently theres only a few taxis on the lake. we sorted out our problem with bikes which were pretty fun but it was pretty hot outside. I should have done a bit more research on the location compared to Malcesine. my husband booked it and malcesine was in the name so that was good enough for him. haha!!! overall its a lovely hotel with a lovely pool but Navene is just too quiet and a little out of the way for a casual stroll to malcesine.
