“Wonderful stay”
Reviewed April 26, 2013

Fabulous hotel nothing lacking we spent one night there wish it had been longer. Pure luxury. My husband would say for him it was a bit ott and too far out of Verona, but there was a regular shuttle bus and my teenage daughter loved it. We took our dog with us who was well looked after and we had no problems. The only thing I would say is if you have children of an impressionable age the Art may be a bit risqué.

We spent one night at the hotel during our recent weekend getaway to Verona. It's a simple magical place unlike any other. The manor house is a spectacular piece of Italian architecture, and the interiors are truly unique. Filled with artistic pieces, it's visually very interesting. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant which was delicious. Service was excellent, and the dessert, I had profita rolls which were delicious and served with an extra helping of divine chocolate! I would highly recommend this hotel for a weekend getaway to Verona. They also offer a free hourly shuttle service to down town Verona which is very useful!

We absolutely loved staying at this hotel. We have both stayed in many of the best hotels in the world and we thought the Byblos Art Hotel was one of the best experiences we'd ever had. The place is beautiful and ususual - we spend an afternoon just exploring and experiencing the very cool art. The level of service was impeccable. The staff was kind, incredibly responsive and on top of all of our requests. The dinner we had at the main restaurant was the best we had throughout our entire trip. Actually, all of the food was gorgeous - from the breakfast buffet to the grilled shrimp gazapcho at lunch. Of course, we loved the bar and the knowledgeable bartenders. We can't wait to go back!

I spent one night in June invited by Volvo (for the European presentation of the V40) and I admit this was one of the most spirited hotels I ever stayed in. The most impressive part is the lobby with the big posters of nude ladies, that introduces you to an adequately romantic room, spacious, well lit and equipped with an array of work arts. The external green area is relaxing and the Italian breakfast is impeccable. I didn't use the pool but it's location is ideal, on high ground and pretty hidden. Definitely an advisable stay for romantic couples but even for business purpose in the area of Verona.

The last leg of our ten day Italian adventure - we had already visited Verona, so it wasn't important for us to be near the centre. From the moment we arrived we were treated very well particularly by Christian who made us feel very special throughout. We had a couple of trips in the shuttle into Verona but they were short as we wanted to enjoy the hotel. The art is great, very interesting and thought provoking. My only small point would be the WiFi 55 minutes allowance, it seems very random and the connection was poor. Having said that, we enjoyed the experience so much that it didn't matter. The excellent restaurant was our final, and best, night of the trip - and the tour of the wine cellar made it a very memorable visit. Thanks!!

The hotel has some eccentric features most notably the huge amount of very high quality modern art in all rooms, including Kapoor, Quinn and Hirst. If you like modern art this is the ideal hotel. Regular shuttle buses take you into Verona to the opera or to shop.

The restaurant was excellent.

This is Hotel has the potential to be truly outstanding. Staff are impeccably attentive, decor is unsusual but very interesting, food excellent all coupled with perfect amenities. So why aren't we returning in a hurry? The reason is simple - if you cannot get a good night's sleep there is no point in going. The temperature in our room, on arrival, was just under 30 degrees fahrenheit. All effeorts via the management to cool it were ineffectual. The small air conditioning unit was noisy and woefully inadequate. The Manager was on holiday (in August!) the Deputy Manager away by reason of illness and we were left to deal with the Sales Manager. Although polite to a fault, he was totally ineffectual. Indeed, after two days of complaint he actually wrote me a letter proudly anouncing that he had succeeded in reducing the temperature. What he did not say (but later admitted) was that it had come down to 27 degrees, making sleep at night, almost impossible. By way of aplology for the loss of 5 nights sleep, we were presented with a bottle of wine on departure. In fairness, we were offered a change of room - but not until 36 hours prior to our scheduled departure. Not nearly good enough for the prices charged.
