I have travelled all over the world, and this hotel truly has something special. It will be one of my top favourite places to visit again. I checked in very late and yet I was greeted with a smile and a complimentary welcome drink. The atmosphere, very peaceful, very quiet. The rooms just a few footsteps away from the beach were clean and the décor exceptional. The bathrooms were aesthetically pleasing and spacious. The food, truly amazing!! Without a doubt I enjoyed every meal. They offered quite a selection throughout the day which was very refreshing. The management and staff were very hospitable and made you feel welcomed at all times. It truly is a relaxing place that can be appreciated by all. I'm thoroughly impressed and I will visit again. Thank you Blue waters for a great vacation.

Thanks for such complimentary words on Blue Waters Inn. Our staff are very important and I am so pleased you found them to be warm and hospitable. Likewise with limited dining options in the area the food has to be more than average to keep guests satisfied. Please come back again when you need some more down time to chill and enjoy soaking up all the Blue Waters Inn and Tobago have to offer.

Thank you for the 5 star review of Blue Waters Inn. We are really pleased such a good time was had here during Biphanie and Claudia's stay. Quite and relaxing is pretty much sums up the "vibe" here. If you want to get away from it all Blue Waters Inn is hard to beat. Come back soon!

This hotel has had some good reports and I now know why. Definitely worth the long drive to the bay from the airport, which is kept as private as possible with a manned gate at the top of the hill. If you want to stay on the resort to unwind and relax it is definitely worth upgrading to half board as there are not many places close to eat. Lunch menu has plenty to choose from, and the portions are massive and well cooked and presented. The evening meal is cooked to order and is simply lovely food, the steaks are lovely and tasty and tender and the fish was also beautifully prepared. If you want to get around a bit there are excursions which the receptionists were able to book for you or hire a taxi, but we opted for a car to do our own thing, and again this was arranged by the very helpful receptionist. (couldn't believe petrol was only 30p a litre!)

Very pretty island, but it does take longer than you would imagine to get to your destinations, not due to heavy traffic, but the terrain, but well worth the journey. As reviewers have mentioned before, the Argyle waterfall is very pretty and so too are a lot of the bays dotted around. We did arrange to be picked up and taken to Newton George's garden (about 1-2 miles away) to see the humming birds. It was an amazing sight to see so many buzzing around feeding, and trying to take picture of them. We were a little surprised to be given a bill for 120 tt (£13+) for the experience bearing in mind fuel is so cheap, and close to the hotel.

thank you all at BWI for a lovely holiday, we were especially pleased we didn't get much rain, only one day, and the mossies were not too bad either if you put the old deet on!

Room Tip: 29-35 upstairs lovely high ceilings, but all face the sea, and very comfortable

Sounds like you really enjoyed Tobago and Blue Waters Inn. Like you we also think the drive out to Speyside is worth it if you want a gem of a hotel tucked away in a secluded bay with both rain forest and offshore treasures on your doorstep. And in Newton George we have the foremost island guide available locally - he is a real asset to Tobago. Insect repellent always recommended for the early evenings and being "tropical" we like a bit of rain to keep the gardens so lush! The rooms upstairs have the same floor plan but with vaulted ceilings they seem bigger - and the views out to sea are pretty special.

If you are looking for somewhere away from the hustle and busyness of Crown Point, Store Bay & Pigeon Pt , then this is the place to stay. Very relaxing and cant wait to go again. Nice beach for kids too. Staff was friendly and warm. Rooms were very modern and clean. Food prices were a bit expensive at the restaurant but you can drive to Charlotteville a few months mins away for some real creole cuisine. Love this place. Oh, the pool is beautiful.

Thanks so much for your feedback. As you rightly say if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle then Blue Waters Inn is hard to beat. We do struggle to compete on price with the smaller local restaurants but have to say the praise for Jason's cooking recently has been massive so we think overall value, price and service all come at a good level. The pool is indeed rather beautiful...

we had traveled from Trinidad where we had been pretty active. This part of the trip was the relaxing part of the trip. We stayed in room 32, which is an upper room in the newer section. Whilst I gather there are rooms which are more expensive and spacious, this was certainly of a very high standard with lots of room, storage and high ceilings, and a decent balcony. The bed was a bateau lit and at least a super-king-size.

On our last day reception organised a brief use of room 29 to shower and change as we had a gap from checking out of the room to leaving the resort. This was a twin room on the ground floor of the older area and whilst of a good standard had less floor area and a smaller bathroom than 32

The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The layout was very good and the beach was beautiful.

The boat dock had an excellent area with sunbeds from which we watched pelicans fishing, and some guests snorkelled, including hubby. The fish to the left of this were the best, and one or two guests saw turtles in the water. We saw one from the glass bottom boat trip to Little Tobago.

Special mention must go to Jason, the chef, who produced some amazing food, with lots of choice and good quantities. The steak was the best I have ever tasted, and his shrimp starter was delicious.

We enjoyed trips round the island and into Gilpin Trace with Newton George, who was an excellent guide, great customer service and first class birding knowledge.Highly recommended

I would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: ask for a double upstairs in the upper number range.

Thanks for your kind and very positive review for Blue Waters Inn. It sounds as though after your activities in Trinidad that Blue Waters Inn was just what you needed! The food coming out of the kitchen via Jason's hands are getting lots of fab reviews which pleases guests and us immensely. And Newton George is probably the leading guide on the island and we are lucky to have his expertise on hand for guests to enjoy. Look forward to welcoming you both back again one day.
