Lovely flavoursome home cooked food. Very much authentic Tobago honest food.
We enjoyed the fish and the chicken that came with a whole variety of side dishes, salads, vegetables, potato or macaroni pie, yummy!

Thank Elena R

Our driver stopped off at Jemma's for 10 of us to have lunch during our trip to Charlottesville. He said the food was excellent and world famous so we were excited and looking forward to sampling some local delights. The best things about this restaurant are its quirky character being built around a tree and its sea views as its situated on the beach, the location couldn't be better but I'm afraid to say the food didn't live up to the hype.

If you're not planning to binge on the side dishes which are included in the price of the main courses, you may struggle to justify the cost of some dishes.
e.g. the shrimp curry was a staggering $150 while in comparison, the Cajun shrimp salad at the Magdalena hotel is $95. The curry was nice but the shrimps were smaller than those we had at the hotel hence we couldn't understand the huge price difference.

The best tasting thing that was served up was the bread fruit bake which was only an accompaniment was delicious. Everything else was forgettable but the price certainly isn't.

If you're in Speyside - or passing through - it's worth a stop for a meal and a wonderful view across the bay. The food is usually a choice of chicken or fish accompanied by some local dishes - one of the real surprises was the Breadfruit bake - just like Cauliflower cheese but without the cauliflower. The view across the bay towards Little Tobago is beautiful and lends a little touch of tropicality to the whole experience.

We had lunch there ... they are not open on certain days so make sure you check before you drive there. The food was good; nothing fabulous but we'd stop there again when we return to the island. Interesting location and great view. I'd recommend it!
