“Atlantic Coast tour must include Jemma's”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

If you're planning to travel up the Atlantic coast of Tobago you must plan to stop at Jemma's Seaview Kitchen in Speyside. We stopped in on a rainy afternoon for lunch and even with the windows closed, the atmosphere was still special. This restaurant is literally built around a large tree right on the beach. We struggled to communicate with our server, even though we think we were all speaking English. We weren't sure exactly what dishes were going to arrive but we were thrilled with every dish. The food was delicious! As some have pointed out, the service was on the slow side but ... sit back and enjoy the atmosphere.

“authentic creole cuisine”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

We stopped here for lunch whilst doing a day trip around the atlantic coast and little tobago-how lucky were we! Set in a loveley location, its such a charming restaurant built around a large tree on different levels-lots of feathered friends visit the backs of chairs-after all we are in a tree!! The food is excellent and we were served a variety of creole dishes all freshly made and all delicious- the chichen and fish were excellent but the breadfruit pie was to die for-make sure to ask for some! If ever we return to Tobago we will call again.I notice people complaining about waiting we waited maybe 20mins and the restaurant was quie busy-remember people this is Tobago, they are on Tobago time-we are on holiday after all! Just chill.

“Worst experience on Tobago”
Reviewed March 20, 2013

We had a car and called in at Jemmas for lunch. After being ignored for ten mins. I went to try to get some service , I was told all the empty tables were booked and if we could find some where to sit it would be a LONG wait to eat.So we left and went next door to Redman's, where Maria Melville fed us very well + service with a smile.See the pic!

“Food for days!”
Reviewed March 16, 2013

A must-visit if you are in Speyside.
Visited here after the glass-bottom boat tour at the Blue Water Inn around the corner.
Food was perfect. Service was friendly.

“Great Food, Long wait”
Reviewed March 9, 2013

We came here during an island trip with Junior Thomas. The food was excellent and probably some of the best we had during our time on Tobago.
However expect the wait to be long and the service somewhat chaotic. When were arrived it was not busy at all and we still had to wait for service and the food for quite some time.
If you are not in a rush then it is definitely worth the visit!
